List of Nicolas A. Young's Reviews
Respectful, knowledgable, excellent diagnostician, does not dismiss concerns. For example, I had a calf pain that was stopping me from competing in fencing tournaments and practice. My own PCP said I had to "live with it" because "you're not 18 anymore." Dr. Young tried X-ray and other diagnostics, but did not give an absolute diagnosis. I respected that, because he didn't just clap a random name on it--it was unusual. He said I could just wait until it went away--or go to Physical Therapy, next door. I took the referral to the Physical Therapist and after only a few sessions, I was able to walk again, climb stairs, and even better, fence! Dr. Young is the best!
Went blindly pertaining to medical conditions over 3 years prior to physical. Dated information wasn't pertinent.
He is very professional.
Dr. Young is a very kind and caring physician.
I would not recommend Lakewood Urgent Care because the front desk check in receptionist attempted to prevent my son from seeing the physician due to not being able to provide a photo ID with his insurance card. I presented my ID on his behalf and that just was not good enough, as she was hung up on this policy. I also observed her prevent yet another patient from being seen because of their co-pay at time of service policy. If these policies are so strict, they should be listed on the website.
Doctor Young is a quack! Over zealous doctor did a physical wherein 3 things he diagnosed out of 4 were incorrect. Stay away from urgent care doctors and go with a certified professional not this guy..
Very great doctor. I've seen him numerous times through urgent care services and he is very thorough and good at what he does.
Went to him for a CDL evaluation. He disqualified me on 4 items 3 of which were refuted immediately by my family physician. CPAP isn't effective for 30% to 60% of patients due to poor mask fitting and/or inability to wear a mask. Personally I tried 2 different types and they were full face mask and nasal pillow. Their are better methods but Dr. Young is overzealous.
This is an urgent care facility so promptness is based on how busy they are.
The doctor does not care about his patients. He is more concerned about paying for his Porche that he constantly talks about to his nurse. He accused me of drug seeking even though I cannot walk or work because I am in pain due to an infected, bleeding flesh wound that I've been hospitalized for. He made me feel like a criminal even though I did nothing wrong. He is more worried about having to justify which prescription he writes (and therefore putting in jeopardy his precious Porche) than he is treating his patients. I've had numerous problems with him including missed wrist fractures, but I was forced to go back because it was my only option due to my PCP being on vacation. His staff and nurses are beyond fantastic. I'm sorry that they have to work with an egomaniac, power-hungry Doctor that doesn't care about people.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
