List of Avita Pain Management Center - Ontario's Reviews
Oh my. I don't know where to begin on how bad this place is. I used the urgent care once and my experience was fine. I had to see a specialist and decided to have my referral sent to Avita. I couldn't get in to see a doctor and only could see the physician's assistant. She had to keep leaving the room to get my questions answered. I knew what she was telling me was incorrect and left without scheduling another appointment. I ended up going to Ohio Health and saw a real doctor who was able to help me.
I'm only giving a 1 star review because they fixed the issue but other then that the DR wouldn't let me finish my sentences or talk, typical "im a Dr I'm better then you " attitude is how I took it. I Would go somewhere else unless you had no option. Im not saying all the Dr and staff are like that there but my Dr and even the receptionist seemed like she looked down her nose at you.
I went to the ER on my birthday, nonetheless, because my shoulder was hurting so bad that I could not take it anymore. I got in quick, but that was the end of the good things that happened. The nurses were rude and quick to get away from you, the doctor did not even touch my arm or shoulder, he came in and said they would do x-rays and then left. The lady that did the x-ray was polite and professional. Then the nurse and dr came back in and informed me that it was not the bones and that is all that shows on an x-ray, I would need to see a specialist. Out they went, then she came in, gave me a 800 milligram ibuprofen and discharged me. So I left in the same pain that I came in with no help really and had to wait almost 2 weeks to see a specialist, the appointment is tomorrow. By the way, yes the pain is still there. i have had to use ice and heating pads and take my weight in aleve and tylenol. Hopefully the doctor I see is okay, he is at Avita as well, scary!!!
The initial approach to the building was great the lady working this morning was absolutely amazing she got me right back into the ER but that was the best part of the trip. They did not even look at the stuff I told him was wrong and I know I have broken ribs from another specialist directly after leaving this facility and the doctor there was a male older gentleman did not even touch me I had a release report from them talking about contusions and how you can't see broken ribs through a layer of dried blood needless to say I went all the way through the visit just so I could write this review this was absolutely the most horrible experience I've ever had at any doctors emergency rooms or care physicians. I do not recommend not even one star and I do not recommend taking your dogs to this facility let alone your children or yourself.
I would reconsider going to this hospital for anything other than a common cold. The attention to detail is definitely lacking where patient care is involved. Very rude and unprofessional personal work here, from the doctors to the secretaries. Most of the reviews are a 1 so keep scrolling to see them.
Told me I had to get better health-wise before they could treat me. I thought that was the reason I was going there in the first place. Just another "Drill Mill" SMH Would give zero star if allowed.
Has to be the rudest, most ill informed medical facility I have ever encountered.I called to get information on the Covid vax for my mother.Lady that answered the phone had no clue. Transfered. Obviously elderly lady that I was sent to was RUDE and SNARKY. She also had no clue.Transfer to third person who also didn't know and when I asked where I could find the answer, she hung up on me!
Wasn't allowed to wait in lobby for my wife and 6 yr old to get blood work done. Had to keep my other two kids in cold car to wait... Very disappointed......will go to med center now on.....
My mother was admitted into the hospital. She was in isolation. It was a chore to get and update with nurses. The doctors would never call to let me know how she was doing and what her prognosis was. I would call the nurses desk they wouldn't even answer the phone they pick it up and hang up on you. This is the worst hospital ever I would never recommend this hospital to anyone. She was in the hospital there for 3 days I didn't want her let out and now she's back at a different hospital. it's ridiculous that you can't even talk to a doctor that's taking care of her do not send anyone you care about to this facility.
You can see the ratings and comments are very polarized (mostly 5 star or 1). Reading through the comments, I see most 1 star references regard the ER. My experience with the ER was fine (broken arm). I have however had many diagnostics to find my cancer, major bowel surgery where I lived at "the mall" for 7 days (my room, surgeon and nursing was great) and a many lab tests provided by this organization and my experiences far exceeded expectations.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
