Scott G. Schnell's Online Review Report Card

Dr Schnell is an awesome surgeon. I had an infection in my elbow and he did surgery on it. He listens to his patients and explains each question I had throughly. His office personnel and nurses are awesome as well.

My wife Joyce had her wrist fused by this doctor. The surgery was botched by the doctor using a piece of metal far larger and wider than my wrist. She is in constant pain with the back of her hand turning blue and swelling due to a reaction to who knows what type of metal was used in the procedure. Nobody can help her with this. We am seeking another surgeon to do this over again properly!

Very Thorough and a good person who cares about his patients.

I would highly recommend this doctor. Everytime i went, staff was friendly,got me in on time. Never had to wait too long. The doctor wasn't demanding about my treatment. Choice up to me. Was told i would have to have surgery on my broken ankle but i refused, he didn't give me a hard time about it, but made sure i understood what the outcome could be. Felt real comfortable and at ease. I usually hate going to doctors and usually don't unless it's a have to case. I personally think he is a wonderful doctor. I originally was supposed to be seen by another doctor that had been referred to me by the er room, but was unable to due to that doctor being out of town or something. So glad he ended up being my physician.

I wrote the above review. I am currently seeing another hand surgeon who has found 3 things that are wrong that Dr. Schnell "missed" or did not bother or care to look for for. I have had work restrictions for 3 months & will have them for at least 2 more months. Dr. Schnell said I didn't need any therapy! Really? Also hand surgery has the best results if done 2-3 wks after injury-I saw the new dr 1 month after my injury b/c I tried to give Dr. Schnell a fair opportunity.B/c of him I missed my window of opportunity fir a successful surgery. This dr seems arrogant & over confident in his abilities. Or he is just too lazy to deal w/ the hassle that is the Ohio worker's comp system.
