Occasionally, l’ve had the need to contact Dr. Bates on the weekend, which I hate to do, but he’s always been very gracious when I have, assuring me it’s okay. As I get older being able to reach my doctor that knows me well is very reassuring.

Dr. Bates does an in-depth annual exam. Blood work, EKG, and a hands-on physical are performed in a unhurried, comfortable manner. We talk about the results. I feel Dr. Bates cares about my health!

The most through Dr. Visit I have been too. We discussed for over 2 hours my health and the game plan was to make me healthier. Dr. Bates did not seemed anyway rushed or stressed to get me out the door. He took all the time necessary to fully explore my medical history. Other than Dr. Bates being a Notre Dame grad (:, I was very impressed.

Dr. Bates is a excellent physician. I have always appreciated the amount of time he spends in discussing my personal life and the connection it has with physical wellness. I feel he always has my best interest in mind. Seeing him for medical appointments is a welcomed opportunity and not a fearful experience. I am most grateful he has been and continues to be my primary care physician.

Dr. Bates has been our doctor for many years and we've always admired his integrity. Now that he is associated with MDVIP we can contact him quickly and easily through the MDVIP web page, and he, in turn, responds to us very quickly. Quick responses helps eliminate frustration for my husband and me. MDVIP is lucky to have him as one of their physicians.

I was Dr. Bates patient for more than twenty years and I was very satisfied with him until the day that I needed to see him. That day, which was the worst day of my life, I tried to get an appointment with him, but it was then I realized that it was easier to get an appointment with the president of United State than my primary care physician. Desperate, I drove to his office, but his secretary still didn't let me to see him. After begging her for ten minutes, she went to his office and returned with a referral to see a specialist. The specialist told me that the referral was inadequate. I called Dr. Bates office and again stonewalled by the secretary. For the second time, I drove to the office and received another wrong referral. Long story short, I had to wait a week, and make countless calls and four fruitless trip to his office that I saw the doctor. I love you Dr. bates, but I refuse to deal with your grim-faced and cruel secretary.
