List of John Gusz's Reviews
I waited in an exam room for well over an hour beyond the time of my appointment. No one checked in, explained why there was a delay, or when I might actually expect to see Dr. Gusz. The staff also informed me that my scheduled outpatient procedure was, in fact, just a consultation and not a surgery. So, in spite of following all of the pre-surgery prep from my primary care physician (no blood thinners, etc.), I was not going to get the surgical procedure that day. At an hour and 10 minutes past my appointment time I left the office.
On two occasions I have left his office due to extremely long wait times to be seen. The first time he called and left a message to please come back. I went ahead and had a minor surgery by him that went well. The hospital staff took good care of me. However, I cannot fully recommend his office unless patients have no jobs to go to, other things to do with their time other than wait for long periods of time before you will be seen by the doctor, while you can hear just about everything between patient examination rooms, where he chats with his patients with no apparent sense of urgency that he has other patients waiting. I had to leave today for the second time without having him evaluate a surgical incision. I will take care of it myself. I waited 70 minutes today before leaving.
This man refused surgery on my wife because she was diabetic! I had to sign her out of his care and drive her to the Cleveland Clinic for emergency surgery! I wouldn't take my dog to this man!
Super nice, did a GREAT JOB !
My son came in to the ER with abdominal pain and ended up needing emergency surgery for appendicitis. Dr Gusz was called in after hours, introduced himself, examined my son and learned a little about him. Doc explained what was going on, what he planned on doing in the OR and a couple different scenarios that could take place. I felt extremely confident that with himself and his team my son was in great hands! After surgery he met with me and updated me how everything went as he intended and hed check on him in the morning. 7am Doc was back checking up on him in recovery (had to stay overnight due to how late it was when he came in) checked him over gave discharge instructions and showed just Great bedside manner. I'm beyond greatful for Dr Gusz and his entire team! Makes me feel good as a mom with her son away from home, freshman year in college with excellent care nearby if ever needed again. Thanks again Dr Gusz and team. We appreciate you
Dr. Gusz was extremely wonderful when I was under his care for 3 months. He took his time with us, answered our questions, and made me feel comfortable when going through a rough time. If you’re looking for someone who knows how to joke, and be serious when necessary, Gusz is for you. I would recommend him time and time again.
A very well trained and experienced surgeon who has the utmost compassion towards his patients. Recommend very highly
I am so grateful for the competence, expertise and kindness that I received while under Dr. Gusz's care. I will be recommending his services to anyone who is seeking a good surgeon. Good care is worth waiting for, so take a good book to read while waiting to see him in the office :).
Dr. Gusz treated me for a gallbladder problem back in December 2017, he is a great doctor! Recommend to everyone!
Great doctor, always cheerful and polite. Five stars.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
