A former lawyer, Dr.Havemann is a doctor in the broadest sense. You see immediately the difference between a physician that is in the profession for money and one who is for vocation. He’s sensible to the patient’s problems and goes beyond his technical qualifications… those that one doesn’t learn in books or school. Congratulations,doc! You honor the medical field with you expertise!

I brought my special needs adult son to see Dr. Havemann as he no longer could use his pediatric psychiatrist. We were kindly greeted by the front desk person. Our appointment went extremely well as Dr. Havemann reviewed and understood my son’s history. We came up with a great go forward plan. He is patient and kind and knowledgeable! I couldn’t have asked for a better first visit and look forward to future visits! I will highly recommend him to my friends and family!

I had a spectacular appointment! I couldn’t wait to get in my car and rave to my husband about my appointment. I told him I haven’t had a psychiatrist like Dr. Havemann since I first got sick when I was 19 yrs old and I’m now 45 yrs of age! I’ve had bad providers for years and lost hope. Fed up, I one day requested a list of providers from my insurance. I then spent hours looking up and reading bios and reviews. Dr. Havemann stood out to me, however, his first appointment was months out and his location 50 minutes away. I can tell you he was totally worth the wait and drive. Somehow he kept me on schedule without me even feeling rushed as much as I ran my big mouth?..lol. He was engaged, he listened, asked all the right questions, he was very knowledgeable and educated me, and had a great sense of humor!

Dr Havemann is thoughtful and takes his time with thorough questioning about symptoms. Scheduling is easy and timely.

Over the course of twenty years, I have had many psychiatrists. Dr. Haveman is hands down the best I have ever had. He LISTENS and is kind and brilliant and open minded and non-judgmental. I can tell him what is actually going on in my head and in my life. He works to create a safe space for his patients. Most importantly to me, he gives me information that I ask for and tells me why he is recommending certain medications over others. I feel empowered by him--we are partners in my recovery. In addition, the practice itself (reception, etc.) is humane, kind, and gentle. I look forward to seeing him and Lisa when I have an appointment.

Dr.Havemann is extremely qualified, intelligent, compassionate, patient, and a great listener. Lisa is also great and always a pleasure to talk to. Having 11 legitimate 5 star reviews is well deserved. I would rate 6 stars if I could; highly recommend.

The absolute best psychiatrist I’ve ever had!! ❤️ I am so happy I found him when I needed a better psychiatrist. Always willing to listen to you and he will do what is best for you.
