Healing Pathways Cleveland's Online Review Report Card

This is a long shot, but I must know, if someone can respond please.. Is this the Dr. Hellfant that was in practice in 1984? My mother went to his office after her and my father's divorce, and although I was only 3 and can't remember his face, I will never forget his kindness. I made copies of my pudgy little 3 year old hands on the xerox machine. My mom had those saved. There were also these amazing puzzle cubes; 6 of them, perfect for small hands. Last I knew, my mom still has them. I played with them throughout the years growing up and always thought they were special. I very likely have the wrong office after this many years, but if by some chance this message ended up in the correct spot, I just wanted to leave a 100 star review to the doctor with the loving heart so caring that it can still be felt over 40 years later. Please respond, I can email and would have preferred to, but I wasn't sure about response. I only have kind words so I thought I'd post a review.

Waited over 6 months to get into couples counseling here because my partner heard this place was great. Spent 5 sessions over 2 months of couples counseling with a counselor who was focused solely on a children's activity (rose and thorn). Our sessions focused almost entirely on the thorns each week. After looking up the activity to understand how it was supposed to help us, I learned that its designed for adolescents and is meant to focus on 3:1 positive:negative ratio rather than an hour long complaint fest fixated on negatives. The exercise is meant to be an ice breaker that she was using to manage a couple on the verge of divorce. The therapist made me feel unsupported and unheard in couples sessions that I hoped would help bring us to common ground. She allowed my partner to speak over me, speak on my behalf, and even supported my partner demanding that I manage the scheduling of her personal time instead of promoting my partner expressing her needs openly. She let anxiety drive the show and left us without any action plans or practice to take home to the marriage. It was 2 months that served no purpose other than to grow further resentment. This form of counseling did more harm than good. "Healing Pathways", right.

I could not recommend Natalia enough. I followed her from her last practice to healing pathways and it has been an amazing experience through and through. The transition from her old practice to new was very smooth and the receptionist(?) or whoever manages registration/billing has been so incredibly helpful and responsive. I usually do virtual appointments but the one time I went in person I loved the office and how there was tons of white noise machines and minimal overhead lighting, and overall an aesthetic that was calming. Natalia has helped me in more ways than I ever could of imagined and has really helped me find that drive to better my mental health!

Emily, a therapist here, has been incredible for me🙏🏽 She is helping me grow and undo negative mental thought patterns I have had ingrained for years. She is an amazing listener and has also helped me take better control of my anxiety. She does cognitive based therapy for me, and I’m feeling a change in my thinking and overall self esteem. Overall this place has been amazing. They also provide relationship counseling so I’m looking forward to making full use of their services. Emily is the best therapist I’ve had, and it’s taken me years to find her.

Everyone at Healing Pathways Cleveland is very caring, supportive, affirming, professional, and welcoming. I feel comfortable every time I am there and would recommend any of the therapists! They are all great counselors and are truly passionate about helping people.

The owner, Michelle, has amazingly innovative ideas about how to continue to progress as a practice to best help her clients in this chaotic world.
