List of Adams County Regional Medical Center's Reviews
Very friendly and explained everything throughly. Was not a long wait and staff was polite
Had to take a family member to medical center on 5/31/2021 due to concerns of a possible broken toe. The MD Richard Durbin was extremely rude and demeaning to us. I would not recommend this facility. Better to drive on down the road to a better facility. This is the second time I have been to this facility with a family member. The first visit years ago was just as bad but for different reasons.
I made a trip to the ER at Adams County Regional Medical Center back in August of 2020. I had an accident involving my hand and a table saw. I sat on a table for 8 hours. Four of those were spent bleeding out of my hand, the blood filled a medical tray and was spilling over onto the floor. At one point, I watched a fly land on my hand that had an open wound. I never received pain medicine or fluids, just a local anesthetic. I received an x-ray, I was the guinea pig for their new mobile machine (this comes back later) and they finally started stitches. I had a student (I don't blame her at all) that told me she had never dealt with something like this. They put a kit of the wrong stitches into my hand, that then had to be taken out. I still paid for those stitches. Three hours later, I had about 40 stitches. Still no pain meds or antibiotic pills to take home, I was charged for both. I did get a TDAP and shot of antibiotics. I was then sent to a hand surgeon at UC Health in West Chester, to find out I had a faulty x-ray CD. I was charged for that by ACRMC as well, and had to pay for another at UC Health. I called ACRMC for months to dispute the charges for a faulty x-ray CD and pills I never received. I left voice mails and was told "I'll look into it and get back to you". My call was never returned. I talked to and left messages with multiple people from billing, talked to the Chief of Nursing, and left messages with the CEO. No response. I finally left a message with the CFO, my message was forwarded to someone else. This person called me and told me they were investigating it and that I wouldn't need to worry about the $100 left of my $550 bill. This call happened 2+ months ago. Now, I receive a notice that my account has been sent to collections. Believe me, I am not happy. Adams County deserves better. Imagine someone who wasn't as young and healthy as I am bleeding out until stitches were complete after 8 hours. Imagine if I had lost my fingers. I don't blame the doctors or nurses, I know they try their best. I blame the leadership at Adams County Regional Medical Center. If they won't respond to me, or give me straight answers, how are they treating your grandparents? How are they treating the people who aren't able to stand up for themselves? Adams County Deserves Better.
I love this hospital. Most everyone has a big heart and knows their job. I have had good experiences here, they have always taken good care of myself and my family.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
