This provider is condescending and dismissive of concerns. He does not provide education when asked and acts like his time is more important than helping his patients to understand how to manage heart failure. Do yourself a favor and go to someone else!

I was told nothing was wrong go home and go back doing my normal active, no need for more test. The next I started doing my normal active and I HAD ANOTHER EPISODE BP went to 90/56.

When my husband had his first massive heart attack at 54 we were all terrified,but by sheer accident we got Doctor Engel in the emergency room. After reviewing his tests he was able to pinpoint the cause and arrange for a stent procedure. Over the years he took care of my husband and showed me support and concern. He would still be his doctor had my husband not received an LVAD over 5 years ago at age 69. Doctor Engel is a brilliant doctor but also a good man.

He is by far an amazing doctor. After six months of trying to figure out what was going on with my body - he had me diagnosed and had a care plan within three days. I cannot say enough good about him. He really listens to you and sincerely cares about you. How he rated a 3.9 is beyond my understanding. I would rate him as a ten if possible

I first met Dr.Engel in 1990 when I had CHF. He has kept me alive since then & I trusted him with my life since then. I am probably his most bull headed patient but I still will go to him until my time comes.

I was scared when I was transported to Christ Hospital. Dr Engel wasn't the overcaring doctor. He was honest and to the point and never sugar coated anything. He told me what he thought the problem was, did test for it. He is the reason that I am alive. I will forever be greatfull for his care.

Dr. Engel will take the time needed to make an accurate diagnosis. He will spend time with you to help you understand your diagnosis. He is always available to his patients. He is a no-nonsense kind of doctor but he has a sense of humor. His staff is great.
