Dr. Hagen is the best! She has been my children's Pediatrician for 14 years. I have moved away from the Strongsville area but still make the trek to see her. She is trustworthy, knowledgeable, and compassionate. I would not go elsewhere.
Doesn’t know her stuff very well. I feel like i can’t trust anything she says, rushes us out of there as fast as she can. Misdiagnosed. Didn’t want to spend time finding the real cause of my problems so brushed it off as something else - which made the problems worse as they weren’t treated when they should have been.

Dr. Hagen is an amazingly caring and knowledgeable pediatrician. She is very patient, always listens and takes as much time as needed. She does not order invasive tests that are not necessary and only prescribes medication when absolutely essential. I trust her implicitely with my child’s healthcare. I moved 45 minutes away but still bring my children to her.
Dr. Hagen dismissed ALL of my concerns. She tried to say I was making things up. However, my son had global developmental delays, autism, plagiocephally. He has spent years in multiple therapies. She really dropped the ball. Rude and dismissive.
Dr Hagan left our daughter misdiagnosed and would not return our phone call afterwards.

Dr. Hagen at Kids In The Sun was my infant's primary care doctor for the first four months of her life. I have several complaints about Kids In The Sun: (1) The support staff in the office are consistently very unprofessional and rude. Additionally, instead of having a phone line that places you on hold, the number is often busy for hours before you are able to get through. (2) The office is dirty. Four days after my daughter's well check appointment, she developed ring worm right where Dr. Hagen's stethoscope had been on her chest. When I took her in for the ringworm and expressed my concern, the doctor claimed it was eczema (even though there was only one round circle on her chest that matched google image searches of ringworm perfectly). I treated it as ringworm and it went away and she's never developed eczema anywhere on her body before or after this incident. (3) When I expressed that my daughter had a horrible reaction to her first round of vaccines and requested that we space her vaccines out (instead of getting six at once, I wanted her to get 2 every other week), I was blown off. A report was never submitted to the CDC about her reactions and Dr. Hagen was condescending and said that my suggestion wouldn't make her reaction better, even when I cited research I had read. (We are now using a different pediatrician and she is getting vaccines on the schedule I mentioned and hasn't had a bad reaction). (3) Despite my aforementioned complaints, we stuck with Dr. Hagen and Kids In The Sun. We ultimately switched due to the difficulty of scheduling appointments. When I called in August to schedule my daughter's 4 month well check appointment, I was told that (a) the office was no longer scheduling appointments after 3:30 and (b) Dr. Hagen didn't have any openings until November (when my daughter would be seven months old). I used all of my sick time during my maternity leave and need appointments after 3:30. Additionally, this office is clearly accepting too many patients if I couldn't get my daughter in for a well check with our doctor for over three months. (4) After switching Pediatrician's, I was extremely hurt and appalled at the way my husband, my daughter, and myself were treated by Dr. Hagen and the support staff at Kids in The Sun, which prompted my to write this review. Dr. Hagen followed my daughter's weight for four months. She was born in the 82nd percentile and slowly dropped to the 14th percentile at our last appointment with Dr. Hagen. We went in for weekly and then biweekly weight checks throughout the first four months of my daughter's life. Dr. Hagen indicated that she would be extremely concerned if my daughter's weight dropped below a certain percentile but also indicated that she didn't want to tell me what the percentile was because she didn't want me to worry. When we had to transfer to another pediatrician because they stopped taking appointments after 3:30, we found out that our daughter had dropped to the 5th percentile in weight. I was extremely concerned and called Kids in The Sun to put a call into Dr. Hagen since she had been following my daughter's slow weight gain since birth. The secretary called me back and said that Dr. Hagen would not be calling me back since my daughter was no longer her patient and said that I would need to switch my daughter back and make an appointment with Dr. Hagen to consult with her. It was then clear that my daughter was just a number to Dr. Hagen and the Kids In The Sun practice. I've never been treated so poorly. I'm hurt and offended that the doctor who has followed my child since she was born isn't concerned about her. I finally sought out a specialist today and discovered my daughter has a lip and tongue tie, which has prevented her from gaining weight. I brought this up to Dr. Hagen when she was two months old and she blew me off. She is condescending and has never respected my opinions or concerns as a parent. I do not recommend Dr. Hagen or this practice. They never listened to my concerns and blew me off time and time again. Their biggest priority is seeing as many patients as possible and making as much money as they can.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
