Generations Senior Living Of Strongsville's Online Review Report Card

Glad I made the decision to move my father to this facility. Treat him great and he is very well taken care of. Strongly recommend Generations!!!!

They do not allow young children (under 12) into the facility to go visit their grandparents. When seeking a place for your elderly family members, make sure that you are willing to keep their grandchildren from them before moving to Generations. Unfortunately, if they are too fragile to leave the facility for visiting time, they will, in their final years, miss their grandchildren they love. Just something to consider until this policy is changed.

Generations Strongsville is great! It's always clean, smells good (not like a hospital), and best of all the staff are incredible. I feel safe and secure having my mom live at Generations.

The team at Generations is wonderful! They provide a warm and caring atmosphere while taking great care of their residents! I enjoy working with them in various capacities and I am confident that they provide clinical excellence for my clients/residents. The team is very genuine and their dedication is very obvious when you step into the community!

The quality of care here was good. The problem arose when they failed to give my mother her medication for dementia for approx 4wks. They tried to put the blame on the pharmacy by saying it was accidentally coded as discontinued by the pharmacy after submitting a refill. Seems to me they should have some kind of backup and not solely rely on the pharmacy. When I transferred moms meds to the facilities care I sat with a rn and we went over all of her meds and dosages. I also gave them a recent print-out from the doctors office. The reason this is such a big deal is because my mother went into a downward spiral from which she never recovered. We had to move her into a memory care facility since Generations did not provide this kind of care. Not an easy task!! The only advice I could give is to be an advocate for your loved one. Ask questions and keep a very close eye on everything going on. The care provided by these facilities does not match the cost!!

As a community outreach nurse, I have had the pleasure of working closely with Generations Senior Living of Strongsville on many occasions. The people who work here are truly very professional, competent and very kind to their residents and community members. Everyone I have ever come in contact with from this facility is spectacular! Keep up the good work!

I have nothing but praise for Generations, its’ management, staff, and facilities. As you can imagine, convincing a parent that it is no longer safe for them to live alone is not an easy task. Just broaching the subject of moving to my Dad, after living in his home for 55 years, was an extremely delicate conversation. After seeing the facility and having the opportunity to meet with Kristen and a current resident, he started to see the true value.In our initial meeting, I remember them saying how Generations is a “family”. I quickly came to realize that this is true. From entering the building, there was Kayla, a woman who (somehow) was always happy and cheerful. After a while, she came to know me by sight and greeted me by name. Even on the phone, she would always ask me how my Dad was doing. You can’t imagine the feeling of “family” that simple question means to the relative of a resident.The nursing staff and aids are another example of “family” care. Over the last several months Kim Bolen was especially helpful in allowing me to keep up with my father’s condition. She encouraged me to contact herself or her staff to ask questions or provide updates on my Dad when he was at Southwest General Hospital.On days I did not call Kim or her staff with an update on my Dad usually resulted in me receiving a call from them! THAT is service. THAT is caring. THAT is FAMILY.My father passed away on September 27th. Kristen visited our family at the funeral home. This was ironic as she was in the room with the rest of his family. I sincerely appreciated her visit.I guess the best thing to say in conclusion was that I made the absolute best decision I could possibly make to encourage my father to move to Generations. While the year was extremely difficult, especially with the limitations inflicted on all by COVID-19, I can truly say my Dad was cared for by members of his family and I thank you all for that.

The staff are amazing. There is such a warmth, love and caring for all the residents. I highly recommend Generations. My mother has been very happy living there since November.

My mother has been living at Generations Berea since the summer. It’s a wonderful place for her to be. She really likes her apartment and is appreciative of the friendly and helpful staff. So are we!
