I had a fracture at the PIP joint. Dr. Hartwig performed 2 surgeries, resulting in extremely limited mobility. I found another surgeon who removed the hardware and cleaned up bone fragments and adhesions. This is the end result. Still not perfect, but about a 50% improvement from where I was

Was very thorough and patient. After the surgery for carpal tunnel repair, my recovery was swift and 100% complete. I am definitely going back to him for any other hand-related problems!

Met with this doctor for pain in elbow area . This doctor gave me a prescription for steroids and a follow up appointment for 30 days. I met with him in 30 days and the pain was still there. He did not offer x-rays but stated I should see a Rheumatoid doctor. In less than 5 minutes I had to pay $50.00 for that .

No. Decided to wait 4 days for a post ER eval of a fractured wrist (happened on a Thursday-his office closed on Friday, Saturday and Sunday. He’s in surgery all day Monday) because we thought he did such a good job on our son’s fractured wrist(albeit many years ago). But after all that waiting, the receptionist just said, “No he’s going to be out of town.” Really? That’s it? Maybe time to retire doc.

My most recent visit to Dr. Hartwig was for numbness in my left hand. He was careful to rule out all causes except a carpal tunnel restriction. Dr. Hartwig released the restriction in 45 minutes under local anesthesia. I was in and our in about two hours and drove myself home. Aftercare staff has been very attentive and caring. I'd recommend this practice.
