I would give him negative stars if I could. We took my elderly father with dementia to Gase for just two visits and both times he was extremely rude, condescending & disrespectful to my father. His message delivery and bedside manner was completely inappropriate and unprofessional as if he had never worked with an elderly patient or someone with dementia. He acted very childish and antagonistic as if he was actually trying to lose a patient. After I addressed this behavior with him directly in the exam room and we mutually agreed to terminate the doctor/patient relationship, Gase continued to antagonize and degrade my father on his way out of the room. As the “doctor” stood at the nurses counter outside of the exam room door, he continues to degrade my father calling him “demented” in a derogatory way for everyone to hear. It seemed I then had to explain the correlation of “demented” and dementia! Mercy Health should be embarrassed to be associated with him. UNBELIEVABLE ARROGANCE!
