Dr. Gabriel helped my husband when no other surgeon had the confidence in helping his condition. He had two spine surgeries, resulting in multiple level fusion in the lower lumbar area. He now has a much better quality of life and less pain!

As a physician I feel I have a greater insight to evaluation of my peers and I consider the ability and expertise of Dr Josue Gabriel as exemplary in his field and recommend him wholeheartedly.

After 20 years, i finally found him. I came from New jersey .He did 3 thoracic spine. surgeries 20 years ago. Now i live in Lorain. I have to travel 2 hours to his office and to the hospital for the surgeries. But i return to him because of a sever allergic reaction to a botox injection that i received in Lorain and because i trust him. I couldn't control my head and the horrible pain on my neck. I thought it was just the botox. But as i found out, i had Spinal Stenosis, and a few other problems with my spine. So far he did 3 different surgeries at the same time, and he's still, not finish yet. I have 1 more to go. If I heal properly, he'll do it soon.So far,so good. I'm still recovering but i feel better than the first day that i went to his office. Because I'm a senior now i was afraid that i wouldn't be able to tolerate them. But i thank god thatI trusted him. And i greatly recommend him. He's a great doctor and a great person.

First, as an RN having worked in orthopedic medicine, I have never been a proponent of back surgery. I never knew anyone who really benefited or didn’t need more surgery. So for me, I swore it off. Fast forward a couple of decades, now there is no way I can walk without bending at my waist and horrible pain from my low back to my toes. If there was any kind of therapeutic treatment available, I tried it. Tilt table, cold and hot compresses, electric stimulation, physical therapy, chiropractic adjustments, bio feedback were some attempts to get relief. I even sought out a pain management doctor. Finally, in August 2020 I met with Dr. Gabriel. He and his staff were extremely compassionate, professional and as accommodating as possible. A few days later he performed surgery. Upon awaking I was in some serious discomfort, then received medication. At this point and for the next 24 hours I questioned why I did this to myself. Now it’s been 3 months. I’m so happy. No pain at all. A GREAT doc

I would recommend Dr.Gabriel and his staff to anyone having back issues.I couldn't find anyone to relieve my back pain which started with sciatica. I ended up getting surgery on May 28 on right side and just had my left side done October 8.Its only been 2 weeks but I was barely walking before my whole body from the waist down ws going numb.Thanks to him all my nerve are working I'm walking with less pain Mind you it's only been 2 weeks and I am walking with a cane This time next year or probably sooner I will be able to walk completely normal.Thank you Dr.Gabriel and staff your great!!!!!

After over 10 in pain (lower back) I was refered to Dr. Gabriel. I just wanted my lower back fixed however because he is a through doctor he said he needed xrays of my neck since i had a previous surgery on my neck. He wanted to make sure I would be able to lay on the table face down. He came back saying I think your neck is worse then your back so 2 surgeries to fix my neck (now fused C2-C7). I was then able to have my low back done (L2-L5 fused). This he was able to all get done in 3 months. I am still on the mend but am better for stepping foot in his office! His office staff has always been exceptional as well!

Dr. Gabriel and his staff are the best. After my first back surgery I had pain and numbness down my right leg which I did not hav prior to surgery. Dr then said it normal and you may never get rid of the numbness. I seen another pain med doc that suggested we try spinal cord stimulator, so we did. This worked well for a few weeks then the problem came back so he sent to Dr. Gabriel since he was not tied in with my last surgeon. He order a ct mylogram which hurt like hell but got the answers I was looking for my L4-5 fusion faild causing a screw to break. So Dr. Grabrial said I need surgery and he would probably have to fuse my L3-4 now because of the damage done from the failed fushin anyway when I woke up from surgery I could feel my leg and right foot for the first time in 4 yrs and I owe it all to Dr. Gabriel and his wonderful staff at onyx and pearl surgical center. THANK YUCK GUYS YOU ROCK. I wish every hospital droctors offices and er where all like this .

I had an ACDF with Dr. Gabriel 3 years ago and had a wonderful experience. He was very thorough and gave me quality of life. I was having severe neck pain and pain in my arms and numbness, I noticed a difference right after surgery. And my incision is barely noticeable. And 3 years later I am still grateful to him and his staff and highly recommend him for surgery. Thank you to you and you’re staff for everything.

Dr Gabriel great, but one of his staff nurses with glasses at the Mill Run location was rude and condescending to me, and my mother. I’m a retired nurse of 40 yrs and I’ve never been treated as bad as this nurse? treated us.

I went to see Dr. Gabriel after consulting with numerous orthopedic surgeons, neurosurgeons, nuerologists, and spine specilaists. Nervous when I arrived I was greeted right away, filled out paperwork and was happy about how easy it was to get started. The nurse took me back and he came in shortly after. Definetly not common in these specialty practices. He was the first to tell me I did not have to suffer in pain for the rest of my life. He took the time to talk to me about my case, showed me pictures as he explained what was wrong and what my options were. Although his diagnosis was the same as the others, he offered multiple options. None of those options were major surgery, included long term time off work or would result major long term affects. Such a relief to meet a doctor like this!
