Samuel David D. Weller's Online Review Report Card

My appointment with Dr. Weller was good. The staff was nice. I really like that Dr Weller made a point to call. My concern, and why I am looking for a new doctor is that scheduling is not time sensitive. I am usually pretty healthy, so when I call for an appointment due to being ill, it's because I've tried over the counter medications for at least 5-7 days with no relief or worsening symptoms. The last and only 2 times I called for an appointment, I was told I could not be seen for two or more weeks and to go to an Urgent Care. Not happy.

There is not another place I would ever go for medical care! Our family have been seeing Dr Weller for at least 20 years he is the best.Sure sometimes he gets behind but that's OK because he makes sure each patients question and concerns are addressed. I really don't mind waiting on him.

Dr Weller is argumentative and does not like to be proven wrong. Looking for a new doctor.

I see Dr.Weller at Madison Health Primary Care in West Jefferson, and am surprised by, and would like to counter some of the negative comments I have seen. I have always been able to get a quick appointment, been treated courteously by staff, had a short wait time and received outstanding care. I would feel extremely comfortable recommending my friends and family to his care

Great dr office and will take care of you!

Only saw him once. Would love to give 0 stars. Told him the rescue inhaler I don't use and he ordered me two. Told him I was out of the vials for my nebulizer and he never ordered any. Sent me for blood work. I went and got a copy of the results. On them it has a note, that my lab results were over all normal except my cholesterol and to keep my apt to discuss treatment. When I was there he had mentioned my high levels. I told him I DoD not want on meds that I needed to have blood tests every three months. Not a safe drug in my opinion. So there is no treatment to discuss. I told him antidepressants don't work on me. He put me on cymbalta anyway. After15 days I was only sleeping one hour a night and forcing myself to eat once a day cause it killed my appetite. As usual it did nothing for my severe depression. I called the office to let them I didn't want to continue with it and did I need a step down or just stop. The recording says they will answer all calls by the end of business the same day. They never called back, so I quit taking the meds and was done waisting money and time on meds that don't work.. I finally called them 4 days later to find out why, and was told he's out till the middle of Jan. They had given the msg. to his replacement. I told them to forget about a call back since I had stopped the meds. The nurse practitioner called and left me a msg. on how if I wanted to try anything more I would have to come in. Never did answer my question about if I needed to step down. Aparently there is no comunication in that office. To top it all off. My blood work also showed 4 other tests were too high and one too low. No mention of them in his note! He apparently doesn't care what the patient wants and does his own thing.

The staff are personable and the office is clean. Dr Weller is wonderful! He is very knowledgeable and thorough. He has a wonderful pleasant bedside manner and is very patient listening to my concerns. I have never once felt rushed. I highly recommend Dr Weller. I never take the time to leave positive reviews but this was a no brainier.

If you wish to be misdiagnosed in a huge life changing way this is the Dr for you. By saying "oh you must have had a stroke but I won't give you anything to help with your symptoms" (which were non narcotic). When going for a 2nd opinion it turns out to be ms and had it been diagnosed correctly the 1st time the use of my legs could of been saved. Rude and don't really care at all. I think he needs to retire. I wish they wouldn't of let Beverly Clensey go.

Just wonderful people here. Always willing to help.Can’t say enough about these Doctors
