Not sure if she had a bad day but I have never been talked down to as much as she did to me. I was sent to her by my GYN after an initial mammogram for a second opinion. I have multiple family members with breast cancer and did not remember how old they were when they had their cancer, what kind of cancer, if it was triple negative, or the type of chemo. Unfortunately, I thought the office visit was just a second reading on my mammogram based off of what my GYN relayed to me. Dr. Lie was belittling and condescending. She asked me why I was even there and stated that I wasn’t making sense on dates. Well I don’t have all of them memorized. Sorry, just like you I would need my mom, aunts, cousins, and grandma’s medical records to remember. I will not be going back. I was already extremely nervous given my history but this woman made it so much worse. I will never go back. Doctors like her are the reason why patients refuse to seek out treatment. We know you don’t care.

Dr. Li has been a huge part of my breast cancer treatment. She has great bedside manner and is compassionate about what she does. I am truly blessed to have her as part of my journey.

She took the time to listen to me and double check, even triple check. When it came time for surgery, she came to see me before and after. To me, that’s a doctor who cares about her patient! I did not feel like a number on a chart.
