I saw him once and he was very dismissive of my symptoms. I was describing the debilitating pain of recurrent hemorrhagic ovarian cysts (which have required narcotics in the past) and he diminished it to a little owwie. His exact words. Then he proceeded to explain ovulation to me, as though I hadnt been ovulating for 30+ years. After that, he addressed my fibroids. In giving me an explanation I did not ask for, he referred to Asian women as Orientals. That was the nail in the proverbial coffin. At that point, I decided not to have a physical exam done by him. Im glad others had better experiences with him, but I havent, and will not, recommended him.
My entire experiece at Atrium was terrible and I do not recommend it. To top it off, Dr. Digiacomo was a complete joke. I had to delay pushing during delivery because the nurses could not find him then I waited 45 minutes after my appointment time with a newborn during my postpartum visit only to have the doctor enter with food hanging from his face. He did my entire exam with cheese hanging from his beard. Like the entire Atrium staff, he was uncaring and disconnected.
I have dealt with him 2 times now. He was the Dr that performed my d&c and then I followed up with him a few weeks later. I had to wait 2 hours the day of my d&c because he wasnt there. The nurses even seemed to be annoyed by this. Then at the office for the follow up I waited in the room for almost 45 minutes. When he came in he was very rushed and made me very uncomfortable. I had multiple questions and he did not seem the least bit interested. Just asked if I was in any pain and rushed me ou
Ive been a patient of Dr. Digiacomo for 7 years and hes a great doctor. My mother was also a patient of his and referred me to him. Hes a great guy, with a very friendly staff!
I have been a pt. of Dr. DiGiacomo for many years. I cant begin to say how awesome his office staff and his care was while I went through many health problems. I would highly recommend this office for fabulous care.
It is difficult to write this review, because during my years of routine gynecological care at the Canton Womens Center, I received wonderful service and care...particularly from the nursing and office staff...they are absolutely wonderful. However, I had a missed miscarriage earlier this year, and was extremely disappointed with the lack of information/compassion I was given while going through the process. I had no idea what to expect (and was in a bit of emotional shock after losing the pregnancy) and no one at the practice gave me any information on what was going to happen to me, nor did they discuss the option of having a D&C. I was quite surprised, to say the least, when I passed the POC myself one day at home. Then they herded me through several blood tests, etc to track my hormone levels, never with so much as a compassionate glance or word. I understand that they deal with these everday, however, the patients dont. They also failed to administer a shot of Rhogam after the miscarriage, even though Im Rh negative (I didnt discover they should have done this until I got pregnant a second time). Luckily, I did not produce any Rh antibodies. After this experience, I would be leary to recommend this practice to anyone for obstetric care. Im happy to say I am pregnant again and have changed to another practice.
Both my daughter and I see Dr DiGiacomo. We both have always been pleased w/Dr. and staff. Three cheers for a doc who has a nurse like Misty so readily available to answer patient questions.
Dr. Digiacomo delivered both of my kids. I drove an hour each way for my appointments. I went through several miscarriages and he was compassionate and wonderful. He has a WONDERFUL phone nurse who also was compassionate. They were my cheerleaders as I finally carried two babies and delivered wonderful healthy babies. Highly recommend!
I use to see romero but i felt he was too rushed and had way too many paticents. So i now see digiacom and he seems to care more, and want to know more details to help with any problems. I like dr that take the time to explain things and listen to me, not ruch to the next app.
