One of the worst doctor experiences I’ve had - and I work in healthcare. Complete dismissal of anything I said. Talking down to me & my teen daughter who was having chest pains. Basically decided we shouldn’t be there bothering him (even though we were referred by both ER AND primary care physician). Wish I could give no stars. However - staff was lovely and professional. 5 stars for them. Will never return. Will go to nola for all further cardio follow ups.
Did not listen. Decided before listening that we should not be there bothering him even though has referrral from ER AND primary care for chest pains.
Dr Singh is a horrible doctor run and run fast from this man. Zero customer service skills. I was referred by LSU clinic for a double check to this dr and he was rude mean and ignorant. Go somewhere else where you will be treated with dignity and respect
Did not listen. Made us feel like we were bothering him coming in with chest pains. Wanted to know why were there (referred by both primary care and ER). Rushed through. Didn’t tell us anything or answer questions. Doc doesn’t have to be nice but does need to LISTEN. Wish I could leave no stars.
Dr Singh is a confident, competent cardiologist that quickly diagnosed my heart disease, and admitted me to the hospital the same day of my initial visit. Frankly, his proactive forthright conversation with me about severity of my condition help preserve my heart function , thus reducing potential heart damage and until bypass surgery.
I was sent to this doctor by my ob/gyn after experiencing tachycardia during the delivery of my daughter. I was held in the recovery room for over 6 hours while they watched me and we waited to be moved into a room in the high risk unit. My heart rate was in the 150s. It was very scary and traumatic to me. When I showed up at my appointment about 10 days after our delivery, dr Singh could not have been more dismissive of me. I don’t even think he made eye contact with me and he definitely did not shake my hand. He just came in and basically scoffed at me and was complaining that Woman’s always sends people to him for high heart rate/BP and that it’s unnecessary and will fix itself shortly postpartum. He wanted to give me a heart monitor anyway for 2 days. So he sent me to this little waiting room where “somebody would come” and put one on me. My daughter was 10 days old and I’m sitting in this tiny waiting area surrounded by at least 6-7 different sickly elderly people...who all wanted to look at the baby of course...it was just about time for her to eat right then, as well. I sent my husband with her to the car to wait for me so I could get her away from the germs...after about 15 min of waiting (and worrying ab my hungry newborn in the parking lot) I finally got up and asked the receptionist if somebody would be coming. She, nor the nurse, had a clue what I was talking about. Dr Singh had not “put the order in.” So I was sitting there waiting for absolutely nothing with a brand new baby, which he was well aware of. He is totally unorganized, extremely dismissive and frankly, pretty rude. Wouldn’t recommend this guy. I ended up saying screw it and left without waiting for a monitor or making a follow up apt. I even spoke to somebody who works there who definitely shared my opinion. She said she didn’t blame me for going elsewhere. So my experience must not be too uncommon. Pretty sad.
Writing this to offer a different perspective than the hysterical review from the woman with a newborn. My mother has been seeing Dr. Singh for several years. I usually take my mother to her appointments as she is elderly. I’ve found Dr. Singh to be polite, courteous and had no trouble making eye contact. He was more than happy to answer any questions and displayed as much care and concern as any doctor who sees hundreds of patients. Perhaps the lady caught him on a bad day or just had unrealistic expectations. Regardless, I’d have no problem going back to Dr. Singh.
