Dr. Gurrola helped save my life. That is not being overdramatic. I had reached a really low point with ulcerative colitis. I had lost 45% of my body weight over several months. My muscles had atrophied and i was in constant pain. I had been the patient of doctors in the city that had me on all kinds of biologics and pills I can't even count. Rather than see what else my insurance could be billed for. He took a pragmatic approach rexamining my scans, and got me slowly into remission with a mild immune suppressant, diet and probiotic. I have been in remission for over a year now. He is a practical and simple doctor who will make his best effort to heal you and not push pharmaceuticals just for the sake of it Do not be afraid to trust this place. Dr. Gurrola, and the old church building he practices out of has dispositions. But it was the most effective medical help I could have ever hoped for. Thank you guys.

Dr Gurrola has always taken good care of me. He's always straight forward and to the point. He does everything to get to the bottom of the problem. He is very caring and I trust him with everything. If I could give him 10 stars I would. The staff is amazing as well. Thank you Dr Gurrola. God Bless you ALWAYS 🙏

I was prepared for a bad visit after reading the reviews and a HORRIBLE visit to Dr. Arora's office in Norman, but this place was AMAZING. The staff was FANTASTIC. Shiloh is amazing and so respectful. She really listens to the patients and understands them. Dr. Gurrola was straight to the point and honest. He does not kiss but or beat around the bush. I liked him immensely. He listened and is more educated in other issues than just GI. I loved his place. Another reviewer said ugly things about the décor, but I liked the office in a house. It makes you feel more at home. It was clean and sterile, had a great staff, great doctor. What more could you want?

The ER had me do a follow up with Dr. Gurrula due to a enlarged Spleen. I called the office and the nurse said they were to busy to schedule, and would call me back. I understood, but never got a call back. I called over 5 times and it went to voicemail. Today a nurse finally called me back and I explained to her that I had to find another doctor. She told me “Good” and hung up on me. I was never rude and didn’t even complain about not getting called back. I do not recommend him unless you need surgery because that’s how he makes his money now. (That was told to me by an old patient of his.) Go to OKC or Norman if you need a good GI Doctor.

Excellent staff.Doctor actually paid attention to our concerns.Every other Gastrointestinologist wanted us to wait months for appointment.The staff understood this was urgent and got us an appointment quickly.

If I could give no stars I would. My observation is that both times I went to my appointments, three of us were scheduled at the same time! My ten minute appointment took 1 1/2 hours! That’s nothing him being greedy! And both times Dr Gurrola never looked me in the eye! That speaks volumes regarding his lack of character and integrity! Not to mention when he told me the results of my CT scan he claimed there was nothing wrong with me! I told him that I’m still in pain, and had no concern for my wellbeing! Dr Gurrola took an oath, “To Do No Harm”, and by not being more attended to my symtoms I feel that he has done harm. Because he certainly did not fix my problems! My opinion is that he’s more concerned with make money than he is about the welfare of his patients!!Now because of his negligence I have to find another doctor! I am so angry because the procedures I did with him costs about $1,500 after BCBS paid there part! If he can’t read a CT scan then I just don’t know what to say! My advise to anyone is to find another Internal medicine doctor! Many blessings to whoever reads this!

I wouldn’t recommend this place at ALL. 1) the building is like an old retired church 2) No clear observation at your appointment 3) the doctor will take you off your medicine and basically tell you good luck!

The office is a worn down old church, very unprofessional. Short staffed. They will also take you off your medicine for no reason . Stay far away.

Thank you Dr. Gurrola for the excellent diagnosis. My quality of life has increased dramatically. I am very excited for my better health. I give you 6 Stars 😀
