Joseph Arthur Horstman's Online Review Report Card

Came to him with a slew of issues including but not limited to cardio health and just like most Oklahoma doctors non of my issues or concerns were taken seriously or dealt with. Instead I felt very embarrassed sharing my medical history only to be felt gas lighted. Not the first time I've had this problem with OU doctors. If I find that my issues are mainly cardiovascular caused I will be sueing. FYI it's almost like doctors here think someone my age would make up these issues. Moral disappointed and defeated by these doctors.

Very pleasant and easy to talk with and explains everything very well. Highly recommend him.

Dr. Horstman has been my dads doctor for several years now, I would not recommend him to anyone, we finally switched him to a doctor that cares, in August of 2021 the ambulance took my dad to the hospital, he was having some severe chest pains and his left arm was hurting, they ran some test and said he was fine, so they sent him home, we called Dr. Horstman to let him know what was going on and he said he’s going to go with his colleagues and agree with them that nothing was wrong, in the meantime we have gotten him a new cardiologist and we just found out today that he has two blockages one is 70% the other is 80%, my dad he’s been hurting since August in his chest and Horstman wouldn’t do a thing about it, said he just had a angiogram a year ago and it couldn’t be that, so I’m hear to tell you guys that this guy doesn’t care about his patients, thank goodness we found a new doctor that cares and immediately started doing all the test to find out what was going on with my dad.

I went to see him for a regular checkup. They did the usual blood work. The Hdl, LDL. Triglycerides etc. It was a printout which was serveral pages long. They only provided Hoarsman with the last page. He comes in looks at it and starts telling me about the results of the stuff on the second page. None of the actual heart information. After he left I asked the assistant if there were more pages. She looked at what had been provided and sure enough the first page did not print out. I just don't understand that. I think a first year doctor who graduated at the bottom of the class would have caught the error. And this guys cardiologist?

Dr Horstman and staff were friendly and expressed concern for my welfare. Explained procedure thoroughly which made me feel less apprehensive. Many thanks to him and his courteous staff.

Was more interested in being a know it all than truly listening to my issues. Argumentative. Will not go back.

He is kind, courteous, and genuinely cares about how you are not just the condition he's treating and also he digs to find out the exact root of the problem the best way to fix it. He is the doctor you can see!

I was frightened because it was my heart. Dr. Horstman assured me that we would find the problem and fix it. He was extremely kind and patiently answered all my questions and then explained exactly what he would suggest we do. He did find the problem and he did fix it. I could ask for nothing or no one better.
