List of Kathleen Hunt's Reviews
We were told to head to the TC Thompson ER after realizing our daughter was dehydrated after battling a fever for a week. We got there and things were going great until they had to put the IV in. Our daughter freaked out, we expected that, warned the nursing staff and they called for assistance. After IV was in, she was screaming, curling up in a ball, and kicking in pain. It would come in waves. She would be fine, then it would hurt. I have never seen her in this much pain before. Over the course of 5 hours we repeatedly asked for the staff to check her IV or give her some medicine. Eventually they gave her Tylenol, but it didn't help. We repeatedly asked them to take it out, she was no longer taking fluids and we didn't see the point of having it stay in her hand. They came in and said they could remove it but if they needed more blood then they may have to stick her 2 or 3 more times. They said this in front of her and she freaked again, screaming at the top of her lungs not to stick her again. We asked what were the chances of them needing to stick her again and they didn't know. The doctor came in and just spoke louder over our daughter crying in pain over the IV and didn't even address it. It took us pointing out that our child should not be reacting this way to an IV that had been in her hand for 5 hours. They finally took it out, and she calmed down imminently. This was not my child's first IV, and she has never had an issue with IV's before, after it was put in. We spent 5 hours in the ER while they tortured our child b/c they were too lazy to do anything else. I will never take my child back to this horrible place. For an ER that specializes in children's care, they are absolutely horrible and have no idea what they are doing.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
