This Dr has done wonders for my parents. We drive over 5 hours round trip to see him and have no complaints. He is knowledgeable and friendly and listens. Would give him 100 stars

This doctor was suspended for diverting prescription drugs for his personal use. We had been patients for 9 years and we only found out about this when we tried to fill a prescription and the pharmacist told us that Dr. Allen's license was suspended and they could not fill an anti-seizure medication my husband needed after brain surgery. No one from the office told us that we would need to find another doctor because Dr. Allen's license was suspended. We only found out the whole story when we looked it up in the newspaper and on the Colorado professional license look-up. His partner at the time would not help us get a referral to a new doctor as he said it wasn't his problem. The office charged us $1 a page to copy our medical records which we had to have so we could find another doctor. We had only 90 days because that's all the prescription Allen's partner would give us. Most neurologists had months of waiting time for new patients, so our family was stressed trying to find another doc. The partner refused to write a letter to our insurance company so my husband could get a name brand drug, which he needed, so we had to pay an additional $600 for the name brand. It was a total nightmare and never once did anyone from the office contact us or offer to help. We felt it was totally irresponsible to leave patients without medical care and without prescriptions for life-threatening conditions. I was appalled by the way we were treated. It was unprofessional and thoughtless. Our family had months of stress and expense due to this lack of concern by the doctor, his partner, and the staff.

i used to be a patient of his and he was really great and attentive. then things changed around five years agoo, like he couldnt pay attention anymore. He used to be a great listener but started spacing out alot. glad i found another Neurologist who pays attention

Dr Allen is truly the most compassionate and caring neurologist I have ever seen. Both my husband and I received excellent care from him over the years. We both have complex neurological needs and Dr Allen was able to pinpoint our treatment and restore our quality of life. He listens to his patients and is up to date on the latest research treatments and therapies. He will leave no stone unturned to help his patients navigate a complex diagnosis. Also his office staff are amazing! His medical assistant Beth in the Cheyenne office is a tremendous advocate for his patients, as she assists them with complex insurance authorizations. I would not hesitate to recommend Dr Allen to anyone who is looking for an evidence based medical approach with a bit of empathy and a great sense of humor. Thank you Dr Allen and Beth for everything.

I have been a patient of Dr. Allen's for 20 years. He has always made me feel as though I am truly important to him. My case has been difficult and I am not always the best patient, but he has always been a great doc. I appreciate him so very much. I know that his care and compassion (& humor) have improved my quality of life.

My daughter (brain injury patient) and I see Dr Allen. Wonderful staff! We come from another town in Wyoming. Staff flexible with scheduling. Dr Allen listens and hears us as patients. Always shows concern with well being and preventative measures. Appreciated!!!!

Dr Allen has been my Neuro for 19+ years. I have always appreciated his approach. He treats me with compassion, concern and humor. He always takes time with me and makes me feel that he truly cares about my health and well-being. He suggests many options and we always take time to discuss each in depth. I am fortunate to have him as an important part of my medical team.

Every visit, he actually takes the time to sit and listen to what you have to say. Most other doctors I've had don't really listen to what I am telling them, which resulted in overmedication, the wrong meds, or worsening symptoms. When I first started seeing Dr. Allen, I was highly overmedicated, but with Dr. Allen's help, I am finally completely symptom free and off all medications. I highly recommend Dr. Allen!

Excellent doctor for Multiple sclerosis. Very nice
