Jamie Akin Do's Online Review Report Card

Dr is very difficult & rude! Every since my baby was born "led me on a wild goose hunt" should u say. If it wasn't one thing it was another! Went from my daughter being too big to restrictions on milk & juice causing my baby to loose weight. Then literally pulled mask off to argue with me when I explained Everytime I left office I was confused! She prohibited me from putting baby in walker & in return I believe it caused my baby to walk late! Just everything about her is difficult! From the way she looked at me every appointment! & I never missed regardless! Our last appointment I requested another Dr n same facility n explained to nurse y. The nurse told me she'd had many people complaining about Dr & I got to see the new Dr we scheduled next appointment just for me to pull up & call to find out they'd taken us off schedule. No notice nothing! I was going to change Dr anyway, but hadn't due to there scheduling of weight check for diabetes! I'm retrospect they did me a favor, but in a very non professional way! I would not recommend her or this facility to anyone!

Dr Akin has always been very attentive and helpful to my child’s needs and any questions that my family has had. We are thankful to have her as our physician.

Always takes good care of my boys and gives great advice on how to treat their health.

My son was born at 29 weeks and I was recommended to go to Dr. Akin. We had a look at her ratings and reviews and were curious why some of them were so bad so we gave them a call and asked to speak to someone in regards to this. Someone gave us a call back and said Dr. Akin did not want to see us at her office.

I had been taking my grandson to Jaime for months with a chronic infection, all the signs of a sinus infection, but she wouldn't go anything for him except say he was asthmatic and put him on a nebulizer. The child suffered for months. Finally my mom came to vist, wh was a physician in AZ who put the child on an antibiotic immediately, Within days, the child was healed... no asthma, no nothing, and it never came back. We found a different doctor who had some sense. I can't believe she calls herself a pediatrician. Did she ever get her credentials, or is she still just using the title?

I understand that doctors are humans and humans make mistakes, but this doctor's mistakes really affected my child and my family. Thank goodness we went elsewhere and found out what was really going on. I only feel bad that for so long my child didn't have the help she needed because I trusted this doctor. I hope in the future, she will make fewer incorrect assumptions about parents (doctors notes which I can read in the portal are what I am referring to).

Not a very nice doctor with the way she speaks

Akin is rude and told me my baby was to be heavy and I was late for an appointment, there was no one there no one signd in. And she told me that she could not see me then. When I seen her before that my baby was 2 months old 8 weeks and she said that she should be holding her self up on her arms. What a load of you know what. Do not recommend this doc to anyone. Trust me it's bad.

Dr. Akin did not speak to my children or engage them. Upon telling her I did not do all vaccinations (which I was there to get two), I was met with confrontation as to my decision. Upon giving her brief factual reasons, which she asked for, I was not met with a well- informed rebuttal. There was no respect for my view and little courtesy to me or my well-mannered children. I have never left a negative review, but wish someone would have given this feedback before I chose her. Perhaps she had an off day. Be prepared to meet hostility if you are educated and have an opinion above standard protocol. You may also want to brush up on your defense for you will be abruptly asked to make it.

She was great when my daughter was a baby, but as my daughter got older we weren't very happy. She didn't seem to be very understanding of autism spectrum disorders. I've been dealing with chronic constipation in my toddler for a long time, and we haven't gotten any useful help. I often felt like my parenting was in question when visiting the doctor.
