Paul Varughese Md's Online Review Report Card

I was referred to Dr. Paul Varughese when an orthopedic specialist thought my daughter had cat scratch fever after an arm fracture. Dr. V wasn’t sold on that and did what testing he could, we were supposed to come back the next day to go over the results but he ended up calling us that afternoon and told us to pack our bags for a few days and head to Childrens because he believed my daughter had cancer. He prepared me for it, at Childrens they were thankful because they said many local doctors send parents there blindly and they have to tell them. Dr. V prepared me, let me know what to expect, has personally called to check on my child periodically since her diagnosis and his office is there for me for any questions or concerns I have. They are quick to respond, and really seem to care about all of my children.

Worst pediatrician ever! If you don’t agree on something he will drop you as a patient, if you have any concerns about your child he doesn’t care & he thinks he’s always right about everything. He seemed very uncomfortable around my newborn.. obviously not the right line of work for him. I don’t recommend him at all & I would actually advise people to keep your children away from him.

After struggling to find a pediatric office that was a good fit for our family I’m thankful that my kids see Dr. Varughese. He expresses genuine care for his patients and respectfully handles my numerous questions at appointments. He is very informative about things I need to know and attentive to concerns I express with my kids. He helps me understand my options for my kids instead of simply asserting his personal preferences (although I trust that in an important “life-or-death” type of situation he would definitely know the course to take; I just haven’t experienced anything that serious in our visits to his office). He and Nurse Kathy have impressed me with the level of respect, care, and professionalism they exhibit and I definitely recommend this pediatric office!

Wish I could give less than 1 star. Arrogant,pushy,no compassion or understanding and deliberately cruel. Won’t put my experience in print because it’s been 6 years and still makes me sick! This man should not be practicing medicine.

The Dr and staff are always helpful and friendly. We do foster care and he takes care of all our kiddos.

The best doctor in the area. We love him, used him after our daughter was born and then had to move to Colorado, now that we are back we are returning to him. I will disagree with the 1 star rating about baby teeth being removed, I've had this discussion with him when my daughter was born with rigid gums and teething, if they are BORN with teeth they are removed, any teeth that come after birth are NOT removed, per THIS doctor.

I had a premature baby and when she finally came home from the hospital she was on oxygen and a heart monitor. I was told by the NICU staff that my pediatrician would be the one to adjust her oxygen and tell me when it's time for her to stop using it. Unfortunately for me I chose Dr. Varughese and he told me I would have to do it and when I questioned how to know when it's time he didn't have any answers. Then a week later he dropped my child as a patient because he said I didn't cooperate with him but all I did was ask questions and try to figure out what to do. As a new mother and not knowing about oxygen I felt me asking questions was not in any way "not cooperating". No thanks to you my child is doing amazing maybe next time you could be a little more understanding and answer a few questions.

So far we haven't had any issues with Dr. Varughese, he seems to be great Pediatrition. We love the nurse, she does a wonderful job with updating our infants shots! The receptionist though needs to work on her phone and greeting skills! Every time we've called she sounds like she pissed off at the world!
