The experience in this office use to be fairly average around 3.5-4stars. Unfortunately it’s fallen flat on its face, rather then listen and understand a patients issues they just want to push “mercy’s policies” the front desk was fine but the nursing staff and doctor just want to push a policy and do not appear to care about serving the patient. I was informed of the “policy” issues when making my appointment and clearly stated I couldn’t do what the “policy” wanted me to do. I was offered a virtual visit which would have been perfect I would have been able to discuss my medical issue with the doctor while still confirming to my personal beliefs around the “policy”. Before my virtual visit I was instructed that I needed to be to seen in person for the issue. I then again clearly articulated my issues with an in person “policy” and was told not to worry about it that it wouldn’t be an issue. Well fast forward to my appoint and the nurse, after taking me back refused medical service because I wasn’t in compliance with the “policy” I reminded them of the phone call and ultimately was refused medical service by the staff. To this office you aren’t a person with beliefs, issues and needs you’re an insurance check! Do yourself and your schedule a favor don’t waste your time here

Treated very poorly and refused care

Look for a different doctor!! Guy gave me 4 referrals that never got in contact with me. Prescribed the wrong meds and syringes, and took over a week to correct it. Office staff acts as if you have inconvenienced them when you tell them to correct it. Terrible experience overall...
The service at mercy has been an experience of great respect and knowledge. Dr Jamison is a great provider of health care.
The staff is fine but the doctor really feels like he is using patients for insurance payments. He is dismissive of symptoms, insists on a new appointment for Everything, including medication refills for drugs you have been on your entire life and need in case of emergencies, and does not seem to be able to handle patients with any medical history beyond "I have a cold". Refuses to give treatment options to patients who meet requirements. It takes about a month to get an appointment, even for established patients. On a good day he leaves the patient feeling dismissed; on a bad one that could be really dangerous.
Joseph was my family Physician for almost 25 years. I was one of his first patients. Very good Dr. Unfortunately I had to find a new Dr this year because someone on his staff was an idiot. This particular person who handles his message board obviously can't read a previous visit report. I'm sorry I had to change, he's a great Dr. Just don't rely on his staff to be much help.
Unfortunately I had to give a one star. I say "unfortunately" because I would not give any stars if that were possible. Joseph has flat out lied to me about laws on doctors having to see patients on schedule IV drugs. He claims he follows the Oklahoma Bureau of Narcotics & Dangerous Drugs. The reality is he is only in it for the money. I was on a schedule IV drug. I contacted the OBNDD and they said I only had to see the Dr once every 6 months. Joseph Jamison told me it was the law that I had to see him every 3 months. He lied to me in order to solidify his own position at Signal Ridge. Furthermore, he had me on multiple cholesterol meds, and multiple blood pressure meds. I started going to a new Mercy Dr today and it was determined there was no need for me to be on those duplicate medications. Joseph clearly does not care about the well being of his patients, or at least the well being of myself. I would never recommend him to anyone. I will be reporting him everywhere I possibly can.
Unprofessional staff in the front office and nursing staff that is unprofessional and uncaring. Does not treat you as an individual. Merely a means to extract another copay from a name on a chart. Does not provide e-visits as the website and MyMercy claim. Is always reluctant to prescribe even needed antibiotics and is it prompt about returning phone calls. Mercy should really do quality control at this location. Not the level of care I have come to associate with the Mercy organization.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
