Oklahoma Children's Hospital- Kids First Pediatric Urgent Care's Online Review Report Card

Never never never go there. My kid only see doctor for 10 mins, they charged me 30 mins for over $300. I called them they said they charged much for first time patient… but when we were there they didn’t tell me that… how could they charge for a ear affection check for over $300???

I took my 2 yr old here on a Sunday 45 mins. before closing. All of the staff were very pleasant and helpful. They went above and beyond and stayed late to see us. We got right in and didn't have to wait. I will definitely go there in the future when needed.

Arrived at the clinic at 7:45 on a Friday. Both Google and website say open until 10:00 on Fridays. Dark and 0 cars. Update your hours.

Went to take my 2 daughters here, it's a Saturday at 4pm. Google said open til 6pm on sat-sun. I guess they decided to either not come in today or leave early... this being the only children's urgent care in the area, that's really unprofessional. Update your hours.

We've received nothing but wonderful, heartfelt service from the doctors and staff each time we've been here with kids -- from stitches and staples and sprains from our youngest with no fear, to usual fevers and flus with our others. After multiple visits we don't have any complaints. Sometimes we've had long wait times and others we haven't. But to be fair, anytime we are going into it we just expect long wait times given the nature of urgent care. The last few times they've been very good at estimating the times after we check in then we will go run a few errands and come back at their estimated time only to be ushered in quickly after. We are very thankful to have this location nearby.

Dr Ramadan was the reason I went there. She is a highly capable and caring pediatrician . Clinic is very clean. Lobby is closed so patients wait in the comfort of their vehicles . Highly recommend it

We took my 5 month old son to be seen. I completely understand waiting, I know there are a lot of sick children and the staff is limited and are working during weekends, however, I checked in and was told 15-20 minutes...an hour later no one ever called me to come inside. I called them to check my status and they said that I was next. It was a bit concerning because there wasn’t but maybe 4 cars max in the parking lot (they were having everyone wait in their car rather than the waiting room due to covid). They finally called us to come inside and they put us in a room where we waited ANOTHER hour!!! Please keep in mind we have a terribly sick 5 month old who was SCREAMING in discomfort and my husband and I were trying everything we could to keep him calm but he had enough after 2 hours just like we did. We watched people you came in after us come and go! I went out to the hallway to find a nurse to ask how much longer and she couldn’t even find me on the list...I was distraught! Finally the doctor said “oh I’m coming to you next” I went back to my room and I kid you not, it took the doctor another 15 minutes to come into our room and my husband had to go ask AGAIN as I held our screaming child. It was over 2 hours at this point. Finally the doctor comes and apologized for the wait. I don’t mind waiting, but be honest about the wait time. If I knew it was going to take over 2 hours to be seen, I would have gone to an ER. She also tried looking up why we were there and I guess the nurse never inputted our information. You could tell the doctor was a bit irritated with us, but you have to be empathetic to the situation we were in. We waited a very very long time, was forgotten about, all while having a sick screaming 5 month old. She definitely could have been more kind and compassionate. The doctor examined my son and was MUCH rougher than I liked. I will not say exactly what she did but I will not be returning to her. My son was screaming after she finished with him and it broke my heart. She gave us medicine and I am thankful for that, but I will definitely be seeing our normal pediatrician to check her diagnosis when the office opens after the weekend. Our experience was not good at all, I hope that things improve and perhaps the other location in OKC is better.

Dr. Ramadan is absolutely the best pediatrician in Oklahoma. She is EXTREMELY thorough and knowledgeable. She treated my boy with respiratory distress. Thank you so much. I am grateful

This place is rediculously slow. Only 2 cars in parking lot and they had us sitting in the parking lot for over an hour. They are either grossly understaffed or have extremely poor time management. We are taking our child to Integris where they move with a purpose especially when treating a child. OU medicine falls far short again. ***Update***Went to Integris hospital and were moved straight into a room with staff waiting to assess my child. From front door to room was 5 minutes. They dont leave you sitting in the parking lot where they cannot triage their patients. I wouldnt trust this place with a stray dog much less my child.

My son had an ear infection and was prescribed an antibiotic a week ago. He started having a fever and body rash yesterday, along with continued ear pain so this evening, we took him to Kid's First in Edmond. After waiting for what seemed like forever in the car, we waited just as long if not longer in the room before the dr came in. It was explained that my son was diagnosed 1 week ago with an ear infection and given an antibiotic but his ear is not any better and now having fever and rash. The Dr began saying she thought it was just swimmer's ear and again it was explained that he was diagnosed with an ear infection 1 week ago and not any better and has developed a body rash and fever. (He hasn't been swimming because he's had an EAR INFECTION for the past week so no, it's not swimmer's ear) By this point, my son was screaming in pain from his ears but she insisted on looking in them. After holding him down several times and traumatizing him, she looked in his ear and said "yeah, it's infected". At this point, my husband lost it and began yelling at her, asking her if she felt that not listening to us when we told her he was diagnosed with an ear infection already, not listening to my son, crying/screaming in pain and insisting on sticking something in his hurting ear, was really THAT NECESSARY?!?!. She had no response. ALSO, she never once addressed the body rash. She didn't even look under his clothes. After leaving there and going to the ER, my son was diagnosed with serum sickness. He was having a reaction to the antibiotic he was prescribed a week ago for his ear infection. This was truly, the most disheartening and disappointing experience we've ever had regarding a health care "professional". It's unfortunate that other parents who don't read these reviews, will take their children here and judging by the negative reviews, more awful experiences will happen.
