Recently had a procedure and received this thank you note today and just wanted to share how much I appreciate this and the amazing care I received. You all are amazing! Thank you so much!

The intent of this review is to give an accurate articulation of the nursing staff and to give a warning to all future patients. The receptionist was amazing! She understood the anxiety associated with a medical procedure and especially with a serious surgery. She acknowledged each individual that came in and made noticeable efforts to be compassionate and understanding. However, the nursing staff are tyrannical megalomaniacs. They truly are uneducated, inexperienced, lack wisdom, no common since, and void of compassion. The hospital is filthy and antiquated. I would prefer to have a surgery at the local truck shop! Please, please, please do your research and be confident in requesting a different hospital.

If I could give this 0 stars I would — the nursing staff was horrible. The patient care tech’s “didn’t have time” to do things they said they would. The nurse came into the room ONLY once during the whole day I was there. We had to ask several times for a cup of water, the suction canister to be emptied and to get help to go to the bathroom. The nurse did not come into the room until 30 minutes after my grandma said she had to go to the bathroom. Bad service and the staff was not friendly at all. The doctor in the ER said “we didn’t do what we should’ve done the first time ya’ll came in.” He acknowledged they dropped the ball on that as well as the PA. There was never any clarity on anything getting done. And to get a transfer order we had to ask for the case management person ourselves. If I wasn’t a surgical technologist and knew how hospitals worked, the transfer order would have never gotten put in. There was never a definitive answer as to whether there were broken/fractured bones. Getting a doctor/nurse to come into the room was a chore. I know staffing might be slim but just patient care overall was horrible and I never want anyone else family member to go through that rough of an experience. AVOID THIS HOSPITAL AT ALL COSTS! NEVER HAVE SURGERY HERE - REQUEST A TRANSFER TO A DIFFERENT HOSPITAL!

Terrible Er. We made the mistake of going there this morning, and left after 30 minutes of just sitting in the lobby. We never even got to speak to a receptionist, and the place was like a ghost town. Went down the road to Integris and immediately got help. I understand not being seen immediately but there should be some reception/triage is place. I wouldn't recommend anyone go to OU for urgent needs.

TERRIBLE experience with OU Hospital in Edmond and downtown OKC facilities: I was there 3/9-10/23 and sent downtown.i had not drank enough water and was dehydrated, BP 90/54.<br>Nurse came in and said I needed go downtown. They came back in to tell me i had a blood bleed and need to go immediately downtown for care.Got downtown, they removed my blood transfusion as it had coagulated in ride downtown because EMSA couldn't clear the lines. Never started a new transfusion. Go to downtown 1ER @ 1138 pm, Dr came in and asked how i was, left, never to be seen again. At 7:30 am i was taken to a room. About 2hrs later i saw a gut/blood dr and she told me i need to be prepped for a colonoscopy w/o one word from me. I said No. My point is they make up a narrative to passed along, especially if you have good ins. They dont answer calls, wont return calls, put you upstairs to get an extra day on ins. Terrible ethics and medical care. This form won't let me correct typos, I'm not an idiot!!

I have been here several time for allergic reactions and have always been helped out and I always feel better when I leave, thank you ER

I had a CT scan and a bone scan today. We were met at the door with a wheelchair by a security officer. He took us to the lab area. He was very pleasant. We were checked in by a very pleasant young lady. The lab personnel were knowledgeable and explained what was going to happen to me. The tests were run promptly. I deeply appreciate the consideration given to me.
