Ryan Alan Vincent's Online Review Report Card

I have seen Dr. Vincent numerous times for epidural injections. He has always answered any questions or concerns I have had. After 6 epidural injections we discussed a spinal stimulator. I did the trial and it appeared to really help. So we set up my appointment for my spinal stimulator to be implanted. The procedure went well with no complications. I felt the need to put this review because of all his negative reviews. Dr. Vincent is not the type of Doctor that is going to sugar coat your diagnosis. He will do a thorough exam and go over your diagnosis with you in detail and setup a plan of action for pain relief. First off I am a Nurse myself. Dr. Vincent and his staff always go over the procedure in detail and you even sign the consent form before he will even do the procedure. So it is on you if you don’t read the consent form yourself. Second off Dr. Vincent always ask if you would like something for pain before he starts the procedure. It is on you if you choose not to get sedated before the procedure. Third off yes, it can be hard to get a call back from his office staff sometimes, but I always manage to get them to call me back. If you are in so much pain like some people said in their reviews then go to the Hospital or call 911. There are pros and cons of any surgeries or procedures you have done to your body. It is ultimately your own choice if you agree or disagree to have the procedure done. As far as I’m concerned Dr. Vincent is a wonderful pain management Doctor!

I have had two injections so far, for a pinched nerve in my back. The injections have helped. I am grateful to this Doctor. I can’t relate to what some of the other reviewers have said. It has not been my experience At All. I did come in late one day and they let me in…the GPS on my phone took me to the wrong location, but I called when I knew I was to be late, and still got seen. The Dr, his staff, and his assistants are totally professional. My injections have gone smoothly, without any problems. I am grateful for the pain relief.

I wish I had looked at the reviews before my wife saw this quack! During consultation for ongoing back issues, my wife mentioned that she needed treatment, but no steroids. He set her up for what he at the time called epidural injection, and what we found out in pre-op was in fact cortical steroids. We had already paid, and my wife was desperate for relief, and the side effects as they were explained to us were almost non existent. I wish we had done the due diligence, but alas hindsight... Anyway, procedure took five minutes all of which were so excruciating for my wife that she imbedded nail prints in her palm.... she practically has no nails.... So! After was worse, about 30 minutes later, my wife was hit with nausea, hot and cold sweats, dizziness, and the worst pain of her life. A pain that unfortunately being due to direct trauma to a nerve, no over the counter meds could touch. Called the office immediately, was promised a call back and of course like others on here, we got no response. We did some research and it seems these are all side effects of the injection, but none were discussed with us in pre-op or during consultation. We are on day two with no relief, my wife who has a ridiculously high pain tolerance woke up crying and almost immobile. Needless to say we will not be returning to this doctor ever, and I hope that those of you wise enough to read all the bad reviews He has received can be saved the trouble and heartache. My wife is in more pain now than she was before the procedure, so if you are looking for pain management here, realize he will manage to increase your pain, empty your wallet, and forget you exist, should you try to contact him afterward. Mercy should truly consider whether they want this "Doctor" practicing medicine under their guise. Rant Over! TLDR: No communication, bedside manner, or follow up. Go anywhere else! Be warned!

I do not recommend seeing Dr. Vincent. Not only does he have atrocious bedside manner, but after having a procedure done and being in severe pain, I called the office multiple times and never got a call back. If something were to be seriously wrong he clearly couldn’t be bothered to even attempt to help if he can’t even return patient phone calls.

I am new to Oklahoma after moving from Kansas. I showed up 12 MINUTES late, and REFUSED to EVEN SEE ME! 10 minutes is their cut off for being late. 2 Minutes. Geez. Last visit gave me a knee injection, and PAIN IS WORSE! Got a call from them, and they could CARE LESS! What an ARROGANT office! I have NEVER IN MY LIFE been treated with more DISRESPECT in 67 years! They are the WORST! I thought a pain doctor was to reduce your pain, NOT INCREASE MY PAIN!

Most egotistical, non professional doc I have ever seen. I'm a traveling nurse R.N. all over the US and the Caribbean, This doc wouldn't last 1 day on my unit. He would have been reported the Chief MD. and would have been reprimanded. I was a charge nurse and if 1 pt. told me that or I witnessed such unprofessional, uncaring actions. He would be before Dr and administrator in a hearbeat!!! HE NEEDS TO BE FIRED! I am notifying his boss, or the Sisters at Mercy

Dr. Vincent was recommended after it was determined I had a fractured disk. He did the surgery. Follow-up was totally impersonal. With continuing pain, it has been determined that I now need 2 nerve blocker (?) treatments. I have tried to call back to ask a couple of questions, but the "menu" leaves no options for such interaction. I may get the treatments, because months later I still have pain, but I will not have him do it. He just wants see you if you're totally anesthesized.

I went to doctor Vincent and was told that I had two compression fractures in my back. I called to confirm that having the kyphoplasty he recommended was what I wanted to do. That was February 7th. Didn’t hear back. I called again a week later. They didn’t know anything because they had to find a room “downstairs” for the procedure. They would let me know. Another week goes by. I call again. Same story, they have to find a room. Someone would call me “today.” Nothing. I got a referral for another doctor the next day. That was Friday and I had the procedure today. That doctor said it was dangerous to leave compression fractures untreated because it often leads to pneumonia and even death. Today, I called again, because I still hadn’t heard from them. The attendant didn’t know but checked with someone and said my procedure would be this coming Thursday, but of course, they hadn’t let me know. A full three weeks after I saw the doctor the first time. Three weeks of unnecessary pain and taking a health risk I didn’t even know was there. I don’t know if Dr. Vincent is any good, I never experienced surgery with him. Thankfully, the doctor who did the procedure was amazing.

I went to see Dr. Vincent, he was super tough to talk to and work with. My leg and foot are numb due to a pinched nerve in my spine. He sent me for x-rays because my hip bones click. That was 3 weeks ago. I called the 2nd week once to get results and no one called me back.. It's now week 3 and I called on Mon and Wednesday NO ONE CALLED ME BACK. I paid for my visit with Dr. V, for my x-rays etc. and they can't find the time to call me with the results? DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND GO SEE ANYONE BUT DR. VINCENT, HIS INEFFICIENT STAFF AND THEIR INABILITY TO ABIDE BY THEIR OATH!

Worse bed side manner ever. Very un professional. Dr acted put out because my neurosurgeon sent me to him because he could not refill pain medicine after 4 weeks post op lumbar fusion. My PCP wanted him to order MRI of my thoracic spine. Dr was put out by this. Dr. Vincent kept saying it was probably a tight muscle. I have significant scoliosis and DDD. Dr. Vincent is very unprofessional and horrible bed side manner. He clearly graduated at bottom of his class. He wanted to treat me for things I was not even seeing him for. Only wanted to do injections-money In his pocket. Felt like I was just $ signs to him.
