List of Stephen Eric Smedlund's Reviews
I didn’t have to wait more than 10 minutes. The receptionist was very kind as was the DR. He was patient and explained things as I asked. He took his time and I didn’t feel rushed.
Dr. Smedlund "terminated our professional relationship" after I declined an offer to participate in a unnecessary and voluntary EEG study. During my first appointment, Smedlund suggested I participated in a 3 day study. I said I would think about it and see if I could take off work for that long. He told me it was completely optional and that there was no guarantee the results would show anything. I later declined the offer and received a letter in the mail stating that I was no longer a patient for not participating in the study.I have read other reviews describing similar situations with Dr. SmedlundOverall, Dr. Smedlund's knowledge of seizure disorders seemed limited and out-of-date.
When I explained my problem, he questioned me as though I was not telling the truth. Made another appointment and brought family member to verify. Still no results. Found another doctor and now getting good results.
Had a nerve conduction test to try and find out why I have horrible, unrelenting pain in my arm. The test was worthless. It was an invasive procedure using needles and electrical current that was not able to diagnose anything unless there was substantial muscle wasting and loss of movement. What's the point? The doctor should have made it clear that the test could not tell me anything. Also, there was no one to welcome me as a new patient at the front dest or any sign in procedure. I sat there over 15 minutes in an empty room until I called out, "Is anyone here?" It felt weird there. Mostly it was a total disappointment. Waste of time and money. sorry.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
