List of Vijay Nirmal Prabhu's Reviews
I ve had two colonoscopies with Dr. Prabhu. He s an excellent doctor. You just have to understand that he has a serious, very professional demeanor and if you re looking for someone with a soft touch he s probably not the doctor for you.
Dismissive of my symptoms, gaslighted me in regards to my mental health, and then when I called to ask to see a new provider as recommended by another Mercy team member him and the office Manger say I can only have my GI at Mercy. I will be complaining to the Oklahoma medical board.
Outstanding doctor and staff. Kept us apprised of all events. Mercy is a beautiful facility. Excellent nurses. Thanks to everyone for all of the great work.
Outstanding doctor. Many thanks to Dr. Prabhu for the great work on my recent procedure. Highly recommend. AAA***
This doctor is worthless. He should really rethink his career path. Does not show any concerns or empathy for his patients. Does not want to do the necessary steps to figure out what is wrong with his patients.
I don't think I was taken serious. I paid $80 for a 10 min. virtual visit. Where I was talking to a black screen. I've been having acid reflux and heartburn for over 5 years. It's been getting more difficult to swallow food, especially hot food. I've been told to just keep taking Pepcid AC. That's it, just deal with it...For how long....the rest of my life??
I had a colonoscopy done by Dr Prabhu yesterday and found him to be kind. I'm in a wheelchair and needed help to roll over, etc. He and the anesthesiologists assisted the nurses. I've never seen doctors do something like that. He came by afterwards to update us on what he (luckily) didn't find. He was very detailed and explained everything in detail. I also have GERD and will be setting up an appointment with him about that as well now that I know how nice he is. I read bad reviews elsewhere and was concerned before this procedure because of them, but I'm very pleased. If you can't tell, I really liked Dr. Prabhu.
I have been going to Dr.Prabhu for 19 years or so. He first correctly diagnosed my Dad with Pancreatic Cancer in 2001, when other drs couldn t. He is a great Dr. He listens well, he s extremely smart and can read between lines to correctly diagnose u. He has a great bed side manner and doesn t try to do tests, if they aren t needed. You won t go wrong if u have any stomach issues going to him. I can t say enough good things about him!
Unfortunately I am no longer seeing him but I don t have anything bad to say about him. He is very good at what he does, we had a disagreement about me getting a second opinion since my diagnosis was somewhat rare. He was correct and did the proper procedure and did it thoroughly. He just didn t like that I got a second opinion, which was a accident made by my primary care doctor but he didn t believe me so we went separate ways. If you want a doctor that will fix your issues with the most minimal amount of medication he would be your doctor.
I see a lot of bad things about dr.prabhu but I can’t say anything bad about him he did his job. I was diagnosed with eoe which is rare. I did have a disagreement with him about getting a second opinion which was my primary care physician fault but he didn’t believe me. I understand that though it’s like a slap in the face to the doctor but he took it the wrong way. He will figure out what’s going on I can atleast tell you that much about him. That’s what his true skill is diagnosis of people, figuring out your issues.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
