List of James Stough's Reviews
Worst experience with a Dr. We have ever had. Our mother was referred to this quack after 2 weeks of infection swelling and antibiotics. Two ER visits, later she finally got to see this so called specialist that would not even listen to her, cut the nail, told her to soak it in Epson salt and live with it. Even told her twice if she didn't like his answer to find a different provider. One day later her foot is swelled worse, the nail is infected and bloody, and she can barely walk. I will be posting this to every review site I can. Do not go to this Dr.
Nothing but issues with this office. Infection at 5 weeks post op they refused to see or treat that required another doctors care and multiple antibiotics and steroids to treat. All I got from Dr. Stough in response was “sorry about that”. My foot is worse than before surgery and they see no issue with my significant limping and need for chiropractor care since surgery. They didn’t even want to let me do physical therapy and Shelly even said I needed to go through my primary care doctor for that. I asked for a bone stimulator instead of being told it was an option, and Dr. Stough told me insurance wouldn’t cover it. However, when my new doctor sent it in, it was approved with no issue. Was that ignorance or a lie? I don’t know. I’ve had multiple opinions on my foot post surgery that have all said my surgery was very poorly done and the gap left by Dr. Stough was not ever going to fuse so now I’m looking at an revision surgery and another recovery due to a simple, careless mistake. A person in their 20s with zero complications shouldn’t be having to do a surgery multiple times like this. Please don’t get stuck in this situation like me.
They were friendly fast and courteous :)
Dr Stough is very kind and very good at what he does.He is very fast with out any pain.
I was very happy with Dr. Stough & every member of the staff! ALL were pleasant, kind & helpful! I'm claustrophobic & since the wait was not long, my sessions were both fantastic!! My only disappointment was they didn't trim my toenails, but that's small compared to their kind attitudes!?? I'm sure I'll have to go back for another toenail removal, and won't dread it like the first time at all!?? Will definitely recommend Dr. Stough to friends and family
I love Dr Stough! From the very first moment I was in his office from a shattered ankle he was amazing. He explained in detail what I needed and also explained what my future would look like without fixing it. Every single appointment was fantastic. He even kept his appointment during an ice storm! He also did a beautiful job on my surgery and can barely see my scars! Dr will Stough will forever be my Dr from now on!!
New patient and first time here. Staff is friendly and Dr. Stough was very knowledgeable, precise, and has a friendly demeanor. I had 2 ingrowns cut out and he performed the procedure effortlessly and flawlessly with minimal pain. I definitely will be a repeat patient if needed and I highly recommend you see him if you need an experienced podiatrist with a great bedside manner !
Your the first Foot Doctor(I hope you don't mind being a foot doctor) anyway that clipped my toenails
I went to him for corrective surgery and my right foot looks worse than before surgery and have to wear padded bandage everyday because toe lays over other toe. I was a fool and went for other foot with him and now by the end of the day I can hardly walk on it due to the pain! I went yesterday to see what could be done and it will consist of another surgery which will mean thousands of dollars put out to a different surgeon (have discouraged everyone I know to switch from Dr. Stough) to have a corrective surgery that I must have so that I can walk without pain!
Impressed by doctor and quickness of visit

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
