Showed up 15 min early as requested and here we are still waiting more than an hour later. As we listen to the staff carrying on in the back enjoying their Ted's lunch.
I don’t know if the doctor is good or not. Her office manager refused my daughter because I wouldn’t just pay the office visit. Our family deductible had been met so per my insurance I only owed 10% coinsurance. She said I could call my insurance, which I did, and she then refused to talk to them. She said my insurance had to call her at their office. Explained to her no, this department only speaks to the insured but the lady would talk to her on my phone. The office manager refused and said that was a lie. They can call. I suggested she call the provider benefits line to verify my insurance and she said NO she did not have time. She could see on her computer our family deductible was met but not my daughters individual. Each individual does not have to meet a deductible when there is a family deductible. After I told her all she was trying to do was to get double paid she refused us service. Handed me my card and said I could find another neurologist to see. Children’s in OKC here we come. Beware and make sure you know what you owe up front. Do not rely on them to verify your insurance or charge you the right amount. I don’t know if the doctor is good or not. The office manager is unreasonable. She was trying to charge full office visit when our deductible had been met and we only owed coinsurance. She refused to call our provider benefits line to verify our policy, said she would only go by what the computer showed. I called member services and offered my phone for her to speak to representative and she refused. Would only speak to them if they were to call her on her office line. Said she did not have time to call my insurance herself, yet had plenty of time to keep telling me I could pay in full and get refunded later. Or I could make a payment arrangement and pay half. Told her she was trying to get double paid and it was not right. She refused us at that point and said I could find another neurologist. I will take my daughter to the city and get better care without being overcharged.

I was a patient years ago and loved this doctor. Now she allows her daughter to run the office part who demeans her mother and says she is only a doctor and that she doesn't know anything about business. Do you know that when you go to a doctor s office that you are not required to pay any part of a deductible with your copa?. She will argue with you and slam stuff on her desk . She throws a complete tantrum like a 4 year old. Then you call the insurance company on her and she gets real nice real quick. I had to do this twice on her because she wanted to charge a $200 deductible charge on top of my copay. I was not having it. She told me that Dr.Elzind would not allow me back in her office again. Now Cigna is going to work on dropping coverage at her office. She is also being reported to the American Medical Board for fraudulent charges. Beware and find a different neurologist. I tried to tell Dr. Elzind about this but apparently she is in on it too. Maybe eventually they will shut her down. Hopefully they will push for a audit. Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
