List of Mcbride Matthew Md's Reviews
Concerned with treating symptoms with meds and not with my overall well being. Had no knowledge or recommendations for diet or probiotics - which had drastically improved my symptoms (better than the meds).
Appreciate attention to my concerns and safety for all involved due to corona virus. All staff were courteous and professional. Scheduling was timely.
If you like being battered when you’re ill, he’s your guy! I felt as if he was degrading and rude because I was ill. He acted as if he knew me and wanted to blame me for my illnesses. Being 27 years post liver transplant, I wanted to yell back at him “would I actually be 27 years post transplant if I refused to take care of myself”? Run don’t walk to find someone a little more caring!
Very personable & professional!!
Dr Mcbride I've been seening for some years through several colonoscopies and two endoscopies - He is personable, thorough, and doesn't beat around the bush if a procedure or test might not be in your best interest. I had my records with him forwarded to Integris when he left Deaconess. He's my choice if I need a gastro guy.
Dr. McBride noticed how frustrated I was becoming bc of the lack of my primary not sending my paperwork. I was getting different diagnosis and I wasn't getting any answers. Dr. McBride calmed me down by telling me I would be ok and he and his team will figure it all out. As for the staff, so far so good. As for for his nurse, she called me to let me know that I need to get labs done. I told her I would go in on Friday or early Monday. She very rudely said she doesn't like to send the paperwork to DLO just to let it sit for 3 days. I told again that I would be there Friday evening Monday morning. I arrived to DLO Monday morning and they still hadn't received any paperwork. I called McBride's office to find out what was going on. The nurse never sent it to DLO. I find it funny she was rushing me to get it done and she didn't do her part.
Dr. Matthew McBride's head nurse, Michelle is very undermining. I had an Emergency & her refusal to speak w/Dr. McBride nor could I speak 2 him forced me to an unknown hospital w/an unknown GI Dr who nearly killed me if the Emergency Team had not stepped in. All bowel preps are contraindicated when there are bowel perforations. Dr. McBride tried 2 force me 2 do a colonoscopy even tho' I have bowel perforation & refused 2 do all other testings.. Shows they are both very dangerous & cruel people
After a colonoscopy, I had c-diff infection. Dr. said I had colitis and treated it with steroids without first testing for infection. I spent two weeks in the hospital with him making rude comments about my family's concern, and daily threats to surgically remove a section of my colon if I didn't start getting better. As if it was my fault I was sick. He criticized my reading material and what I was watching on tv. I will never forget him and have nothing nice to say about him.
Courteous and puts you at ease
Doctor seemed more interested in managing the symptoms rather than discovering the root cause. Was eventually referred to another specialist which was unrelated to the problem.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
