This summer I had a successful sinus surgery, performed by Dr. Dale Smith. Dr Smith had fully explained his reason for recommending the operation. I was referred to Dr. Smith for Sleep Apnea. I currently have a CPAP and needed a doctor for continuity of care. The very first thing Dr. Smith did without any type of screening was a nasal scope. When I told the nurse I was there for sleep apnea, she told me “He does this for every patient.” That should have been a red flag for me right away. Why would a doctor perform an unnecessary procedure… money. So, next he starts to explain why my previous nasal sinus surgery was not how he would have done it. So, I can tell his next move is likely to always recommend surgery….more money. Once we started discussing what I was there for…sleep apnea…he basically said he couldn’t do any of the services I was sent there for. I found him to be completely rude and condescending. He told me that patients were too stupid to enter their own information in a patient portal. He brushed me off and started to walk out in the middle of our appointment, I’m assuming at the end of our allotted time. He isn’t even sleep board certified, which I would have no problem going to him for treatment IF he were a critical thinker and problem solver. But a doctor who automatically does a nasal scope and then recommends sinus surgery to every patient is neither of those. I waited a while to write this review because I wondered if I had one of those off appointments that wasn’t the norm. Then he happened to have a patient of some stature that I am connected to, and they had the same experience. I don’t think it’s right that a doctor abuses the system and possibly endangers patient health because options may be limited. I’d rather drive the hour to see a true professional. I will copy this review to all review sites.

Never saw Dr. Smith I saw his assistant. Was overcharged and have been trying for a year to get the overpayment back. Stopped in personally and was given the runaround that the office manager was at an appointment and they didn't know if she would be back today.

Professional, exceptional, courteous and kind. I'm so thankful for Dr. Dale Smith. He quickly diagnosed and treated me for several severe sinus problems. I wish I had seen him first!

Dr. Smith gave simple explanations to all procedures and listened carefully to past issues which he addressed and incorporated into my health plan. I highly recommend him as he is totally removed from the corporate healthcare attitude of many professionals today.
