List of Stokesberry David Md's Reviews
Dr Stokesberry is a fine gastroenterologist whom I've only seen twice, but a doctor is only as good as the staff around him. Unfortunately, his staff does not appreciate being questioned by a patient, consistently lied about an MRI procedure as being performed correctly which it wasn’t, and I was only permitted to speak to the staff via portal emails or phone, and not the doctor. Within a few days I received a letter that Dr Stokesberry was "terminating the physician-patient relationship" due to my "abusive statements to his staff." I questioned the procedure I had which was contrary to what the doctor ordered and had discussed with me during my prior visit. Based on the admin and staff responses regarding the procedure, I advised I was reporting the inconsistencies to Medicare, and possibly covering up for someone's negligence. In the interim, the doctor's actual original notes for the procedure were erased from the patient portal, and I am restricted from entering the portal to obtain any of my own health information. I received my EOB from Medicare that supports the original testing order for an MRI. So standing up for my healthcare rights and questioning discrepancies and inconsistencies is now considered "abusive." In addition, I am banned from contacting any doctor in the DDSI group at any location. I will never again recommend this doctor due to his complete lack of caring and follow-up not only regarding the dispute about the testing but also not addressing the "abusive" statements with me directly before dismissing me as his patient. If you do go to him remember that his staff can easily have your patient-doctor relationship terminated as they already did with me, or be prepared to deal with and bow down before his almighty and all-knowing rude staff and never ever question anything lest you be "terminated" as a patient.
Dr Stokesberry is a fine doctor whom I've only seen twice in the past two years, but a doctor is only as good as his responses and follow-up with the patient which is severely lacking. Since he leaves a patient’s medical questions and responses up to his staff and admin personnel, I cannot recommend him due to the rudeness of his staff and their inability to provide an accurate medical answer regarding a procedure I had. As I was never given the opportunity to speak directly to Dr. Stokesberry regarding this situation, access to my health records through the patient portal have been terminated, as well as his physician-patient relationship. The situation has been documented in detail and submitted to Medicare.
Dr Stokesberry is a fine doctor whom I've only seen twice, but a doctor is only as good as the staff around him. Unfortunately his staff is not truthful, does not appreciate being questioned by a patient, lied about a procedure, and in the end I received a letter that he was "terminating the physician-patient relationship" due to my "abusive statements to his staff." Yes, I called his administrative personnel a liar based on her responses regarding the procedure I had, I did say I was preparing to inform Medicare, and also stated I felt they were just covering up for negligence. In the interim, the doctor's notes were erased from the patient portal, and I am restricted from obtaining my health information. And all this took place thru portal emails with the admin staff and never with Dr. Stokesberry. So I guess standing up for my healthcare rights is "abusive" when I questioned why I was being lied to. In addition I am banned from contacting ANY DDSI doctor at ANY location. So in my opinion, take your chances and pray you don't upset any of the highly-insensitive and rude staff.

Thorough and sincerely cares about his patients. He took over my case when I had cancer of small intestine 11 years ago. Had an appointment today for a wellness check. He is the most trustworthy doctor I know. Brilliant in his field.
I would recommend Dr. Stokesberry to anyone having digestive problems. I had almost given up of finding answers and treatments until I saw him. He diagnosed well and prescribed medication which he monitored carefully and explained how it would work, if it would work, and what to expect if it did not help. He now has my condition under control and I feel better than I have in years. He will explain and show your diagrams and websites to help you better understand.
Worst doctor I have ever seen.
He did an EGD and told me I did not have this condition. My old gastrologist retired, and he had done an EGD WITH A BIOPSY. I went to another doctor in Tulsa, and he said if you don't a biopsy, they don't know whether you have it or not. So, that test done by Dr. Stokesberry was a waste of time and money.
Dr. Stokesberry is my favorite doctor. He always takes time to listen and answer questions and never makes you feel like he's in a hurry. Sometimes he's a little behind schedule in clinic, but that's understandable because of how he listens to his patients and makes sure they understand what's going on. He and his staff respond quickly to messages via their online system. I would send anyone needing a GI doctor to him.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
