Dr Ambaw cancelled my mom's appointment without anyone from his office calling to tell us about the cancellation. I drove from South OKC to North OKC on icy roads to pick my 83 year old mom up. As this was our first office visit with him, once I got to what I thought was the building his office was in, I called to confirm the address. That is when I found out the appointment had been cancelled. His office confirmed we did not receive a call and apologized. Offered to reschedule in MWC. It is not convenient to get to MWC to see him, nor should we have to wait another month for an appointment in North OKC. We will be switching doctors!! In bad weather, it is imperative doctors communicate cancellations. His office did not show us the courtesy. We won't continue with him.

Dr. Ambaw by far is one of the best Doctors I have ever been to. He takes his time with you and answers your questions and explains things so you can understand. I was so fortunate to be able to have him for my Doctor. He is the best. Also the nursing staff and office people are friendly and very caring. Would like to give the people who take your blood are super. Thanks to you all.

Dr. Ambaw is a great doctor. He is very understanding and answers any questions you have. He takes time for any questions you may have. He is very knowledgeable about what needs to be done and explains everything in a way people can understand. I am so comfortable with this doctor. I know he will take excellent care of my dad and do what is best for him. I would recommend anyone needing a kidney doctor to this place.

I love the personal attention and integrity with which Dr. Ambaw provides through his care. I was referred to Dr Ambaw almost 2 years ago to get clearance for neck surgery because i only have 1 kidney. After meeting him, I have continued under his care, even though I have to drive from Yukon to Midwest City (it’s worth the drive)! And their front desk staff - like Sierra - are great to interact with, they are friendly, professional and very competent! I’m grateful for their excellent service!!

This Doctor is very polite, but he spends more time typing into his lap top than he does with his patients. He doesn't remember from one visit to the next as to what is the matter with the patient. Getting an appt. with him that hasn't been scheduled by his staff is almost impossible unless your are on his Dialysis schedule. Don't cross him, because he doesn't like to be repremanded if you should verbally and totally disagree with his diagnoisis. Find another Doctor for your own sense of well being

Scheduled me for 2nd CAT scan for more information on possible complex cyst. Didn't tell Lab why he ordered 2nd scan so report didn't say whether cyst was simple or complex. That's why the scan was scheduled, to clarify if it was simple or complex. Also ordered Lab test, Lab couldn't read his orders, delayed another week, wasted time waiting at Lab so they could contact him for clarification. Recommended I see a urologist, since he wouldn't even make diaganosis.! Waste of time and money!

I originally met Dr. Ambaw at the South Oklahoma Heart Hospital under emergency circumstances and I find him to be straight forward, intelligent, personable and "very" kind hearted. I would highly recommend him to any of my friends or relatives.
