Jesicah Gilmore's Online Review Report Card

I was a patient of Dr Gilmore when she was at OU Family medicine in Tulsa, Ok. She was my doctor for years and I liked her initially. However, she proved to show signs of racial bias in my care. After seeing me for a few years and Knowing my personality she still confronted me when a nurse told her that I came across as aggressive when all I was trying to do was convey to that nurse my symptoms and asked that she not just disregard my concerns. That nurse went to Dr Gilmore and all it took was her word for Dr Gilmore to confront me. She quickly lumped me in the category of "angry black woman." My rate of care deminished greatly after that. I complained repeatedly about neck pain and Dr Dilmore ignored or downplayed my concerns but instead gave me pain medicine for my knees due to a cyst. I eventually got a new doctor after she left the clinic and I've had cervical fusions and is due for another one. She also had me follow a weight loss plan with the hopes of me getting weight loss surgery at my request but once I completed that program she came in to tell me "I'm not referring you for weightloss surgery." That's it no explanation or reply to my questions. Her personality was nice and it is easy to be fooled by that but she does have racial biases. I’ve been a patient of Dr. Gilmore’s for several years and have referred her to friends and family alike. She’s very personable, thorough and does exactly what she says she’s going to do. I feel extremely safe and well cared for.

She is an amazing dr. She took care of my husband Sammy Still until he passed last December. She also has treated my son Christopher. Excellent dr.
