List of Affiliated Anesthesiologists's Reviews
Horrible billing practices, I'm being billed YET AGAIN for a bill I've proved I paid, almost 3? Years later!?! Absolutely not.
I had a procedure through Mercy Health Systems. I paid the bill at the time of service. I have now been advised that the anesthesiologists bill, even though it itemized anesthesiology amount and for meds, etc., it was truly not for anesthesiology. I have been taken by both Mercy and by Affiliated Anesthesiologist. When you receive a bill and you pay it for services rendered; that should be it. Not so with the "partnership" with Mercy and Affiliated. Patient beware...you will receive another bill even if your bill states that you are paying for anesthesiology. Additional bill $735.00
I had an EGD at Mercy OP Diagnostics. Dr Tate Triska was absolutely wonderful. I was anxious and they made it a very calm atmosphere. So thankful for him and his care. Merry Christmas!
I was not notified of the provider being out of network prior to my surgery. The facility was an in-network facility.
2 years after Surgery I have a Collection Agency calling! Bill had been dealt with back in 2020 but office staff very Rude and Hateful and they will NEVER get another Dime from me EVER!
Hands down the best anesthesia Doctor I've ever had! Very professional and a great experience. I'd recommend highly.
After a spinal tap at a different ER - I found myself the sickest Ive ever been with a spinal headache. I couldn't stay upright without being violently ill. I returned to the original ER and they had no anesthesiologist available to treat me, and so sent me on. I went to Mercy ER, where I my spinal headache was treated by the team of doctors from Affiliated Anesthesiologists. They. Were. Amazing. I was by no means an easy patient, as I was so sick & very dehydrated. However, they treated me quickly, and I was able to be back on my feet with normal activities the next day. I truly can't thank them enough.
Excellent group of anesthesiologists that have taken great care of my family and I.
July 11, 2017: Yet another update. Back in March, I was contacted by someone just below the President of Mercy OKC and she told me she was in contact with affiliated anesthesiologists and that they were indeed in-network for Mercy and that my bill was going to be resolved. Today i received a notice from a collection agency trying to collect the Affiliated Anesthesiologists bill that was supposed to have been taken care of. March 15, 2017: I need to update this review. I originally wrote a very negative review based on my getting an out-of-network bill from this organization. Affiliated Anesthesiologists are now in-network for Mercy. My procedure and insurance billing happened during the transition phase of them becoming in-network so it got kicked back to me as out-of network. In my former review I noted the anesthesiologist I had was excellent and now I know that Affiliated Anesthesiologists were extremely responsive and helpful in correcting this unfortunate incident. I've upgraded my rating to "five stars", which I now feel they deserve. November 17, 2017: I received yet ANOTHER bill from a collection agency. I have addressed this issue with both Affiliated Anesthesiologists and Healchoice TWICE and been told both times the issue was resolved. STAY, STAY, STAY away from Affiliated Anesthesiologists and MERCY as long as MERCY continues to use these crooks for their anesthesiology services.
I implore anyone having surgery at Mercy, and possibly other hospitals in the OKC area to find out in advance who your anesthesiologist is. I would advise you to stay away from Affiliated Anesthesiologists for anesthesia. They are trying to stick me with a $1,400 bill that would have been paid in full by my insurance had they filed the bill on time. They had 90 days and didn't file until about the 100th day, hence being late. Of course, insurance rejected, . I tried and tried to get them to resend the bill with an explanation for tardiness, and they didn't do that properly. I worked and worked with my insurance and the doctor's office trying to resolve this, and several times I thought it was resolved because I never received anything from anyone. That is until I received a bill from a collection agency. I was shocked to say the least. Now, here we are 2+yrs later and I have just received another collection letter after believing this had once again been taken care of this past fall. I didn't hear from anyone since last November, and now in May or June, I get that second letter. I called my insurance company, who has closed account and will not reconsider payment. Affiliated Anesthesiology told me this was all my fault because they couldn't reach me during the first 90 days. I was very ill during most of that 90 days, and never even looked at the bill knowing it could take that long to file and insurance respond. I know, I should have. They were calling my home number only, never my cell, which is the only phone I answer. The other number is for my fax. Anyway, they're blaming me because they could never get my insurance info during the first 90 days. I've told them repeatedly that the hospital hired them, not me, so why wasn't the hospital providing the information they needed. I gave that info to hospital at least twice, and they verified my insurance prior to surgery. The surgeons office also had info, but they never tried contacting them either. The surgeon's office verified to me that the anesthesiologist would have been provided that info by the hospital. The anesthesiology office told me it was not their responsibility to get back with the hospital for more info, and that they should have been able to get it from me. I told them they could have gotten from me if they had only asked hospital for any additional phone numbers. They would have been given my cell number, as well as my husband's and my son's. All of these numbers were in my file for either being my number or my emergency contacts. I am so frustrated, and don't know what to do. My husband and I live on a fixed income, and sometimes we have to decide between a medical need or sufficient food for the month. If anyone has any ideas, please let me know. I truly appreciate it. Thank you!!!

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
