DON'T TRUST! The amount of office clerical and scheduling errors was terrifying! The doctor was condescending, minimized my issues and basically treated me less than... His conclusions about my issues were not logical. See,Mr dr bien, the infections you say caused my problems didn't occur UNTIL AFTER the surgeries! Idiot! Also,my weird tinnitus I have been researching on my own and I am not crazy. Read up on MIDDLE EAR MYOCLONUS! intermittent. Bubbing, banging, feel it outside my head, etc. Yeah, don't recommend at all. Going out of state.

Dr. Bien is amazing, he rebuilt my son's ear drum and replaced the hearing bones that were damaged with a prosthesis and restored hearing in his left ear. Amazing, skilled, kind, and to the point doctor. Highly recommend even if you have to wait, result are here!!!

Best doctor!

Dr. Bien is an excellent surgeon with great skill and excellent bedside manner. He did both of my daughter's cochlear implants when she was a toddler. He works very well with children. If we had to do it all over again, we wouldn't go with anyone else.

Have to schedule appointments 6 Months out even if you are established Patient. I was in pain and called to get in two Months before my scheduled appointment and was told the Dr. said to just use warm compresses and wait the two Months. I asked that he give me the name of another Ear Dr. so that I can get established with a backup Dr. in cases of emergencies and I was told they had no other names of Drs to give me. This is a training Medical University, if you go online and search for an Ear Specialist and check where they were trained at most of the time it is at OU HSC but the OU Dr. can’t give me the name of another Dr.?????

This doctor is a compendium of the best qualities we can wish in a doctor, in its unique specialty: knowledge, devotion, respect and compassion. I am happy to have him as a doctor, and i wish him the best. I am sure his patients and future ones will corroborate my opinion.

I am so glad that I choose Dr. Bien. Dr. Bien gave me my hearing back. Dr. Bien made everything smooth and explained everything he would be doing for my surgeries. I have never felt so safe as I was with him. His compassion and dedication to his patients can't be found by any other Dr. I just wish he was still here in Albany. It is a GREAT loss for Albany ENT. Best of Luck Dr. Bien you are missed.

My wife had a leak of cerebro-spinal fluid (CSF) from her brain cavity into her inner ear, causing hearing loss. After a mis-diagnosis by another MD, we consulted Dr. Bien and he quickly identified the problem. The fix required neurosurgery, which Dr. Bien performed in collaboration with the chief neurosurgeon at Albany Med, Dr, Alan Boulos. It went splendidly and now my wife is symptom free! All throughout this process Dr. Bien has been a wonderful physician: compassionate, dedicated, and fiercely devoted.
