I had DBS (pacemaker for the brain for Parkinson’s.) surgery at UTSW 3+ years ago and my DBS remote was giving me the error that the batteries (implanted just below my left clavicle) were on their last legs. I needed the unit replaced during the corona pandemic and Dr. Conner was one of the few surgeons in OKC area that could perform DBS procedures. He is VERY young but did a year long fellowship post residency and performed many DBS implants prior to coming to OU Med. (My local Medtronic rep told me this prior to surgery and assured me he was well qualified ) I found him to be very thorough, likable, with an excellent bedside manner. Because of the pandemic, my wife has never even met him in person and she also was impressed by his manner and caring just by phone! It’s been less than 2 weeks since my surgery, and I have had almost NO pain from the procedure. So far, I’m very happy with this young man’s skills.

Dr. Cheema was absolutely wonderful! We are from Tulsa and ended up in in OKC for my mom's aneurysm clipping surgery because all Tulsa hospitals were full. It turned out to be a huge blessing! Dr. Cheema was very kind and has fantastic bedside manner. Highly recommend. Thanks Dr. Cheema!!
