Dr Brauer fixed my back after an auto accident. Could not get better care. He explained what my options were and did an excellent job.

I had brain surgery Aug 8, 2022. Dr. Bauer has a great bed side manner. He explained the procedure very well. He talked to us where we understood. If we had questions he answered them. I would recommend him to anyone. It was very comforting to have him as my Doctor.

My daughter had brain surgery on July 26, 2022 to remove an AVM. Dr Bauer explained everything to us and even though it sounded scary we felt like she was in good hands. What an incredible dr he is! He is very personal and talked to all of us with so many questions and answered with words we could understand. He treated us all as friends and did not have the God complex like a lot of drs do talking to patients and their family. He actually cares for his patients and with the 7 hr surgery my daughter was having it meant the world to this momma that he did care for her as much as he did. He came and visited her in the ICU room and we had to go to the ER a week later and he came and seen her and checked on her after another brain surgery he was performing! Our faith is in The Lord, but I know for sure He gave Dr Bauer the gift of healing and I thank Him everyday for using Dr Bauer. My daughter calls him her best friend! Thank you Dr Bauer for taking care of KrisCinda like you did!! This momma appreciates EVERYTHING!!!

Dr. Bauer gave such intense care for my husband with stage 4 brain tumor. He helped to take out tumor took him 8 1/2 hours of operation and help my husband to recover not only physically but emotionally as well. Thank you so much for saving his life

One star because sadly I can’t give zero stars. I came in with a newly diagnosed tumor. Very scary and and unsure about the process. I saw Dr Bauer for a total of 5-10 minutes (I understand they’re busy). I was given some thoughts about options and was told that he was going to refer my case to another doctor. I heard absolutely nothing from anyone for two weeks. I called in to check on the status and the person answering the phone was short with me. She said in the notes that orders were for a follow up image in 6 months. She also stated that in the notes it said the Dr said I had been told that. I had not. I have not received a single call from any of them. I’m a human being who was sitting worried about this kind of diagnosis and they could not take the time to call or make sure I understood and was comfortable with the next steps or answer any questions I might have. It’s unprofessional and definitely cold. I expected so much better from OU. So now I’ll be searching for somewhere else to look at my case that may perhaps treat me with the respect a patient deserves.

Finding I had a brain tumor attached to my brain stem was nothing short of terrifying. Dr. Bauer came highly recommended and in working with him you quickly understand why. He is amazingly talented and a stabilizing presence as you go through the process. After major brain surgery I have not had a single complication, if your ever in the unfortunate position to need such a surgery then consider yourself blessed if Dr. Bauer is one to perform it!

Pathetic all the way around! I was told all he does is cut and the rest is up to me. Had a cranial decompression surgery and now have leak and well I'm on my own. Very disappointed!

Professional, to the point and made me feel at ease. No complications after removing a cyst from my brain. I was in excellent hands and will recommend him to everyone.

All the other doctors that I saw gave me little hope to survive the surgery. Dr. Bauer never even touched on the odds of survival. I watched his face as he saw the X-ray's for the first time (neck) and there was never a look of puzzlement on his face--he knew right away what he wanted to do and told me so. This gave me all the hope in the world so I told him that it was a go. So far I can swallow without my throat plugging up and with some patience on my part (neck brace) will be able to hold my neck straight.I would not hesitate to recommend Dr. Bauer to anyone.
