List of Gary Dunn's Reviews
My husband has two procedures with Dr. Dunn… A colostomy reversal and a colon resection. The last surgery was going to be pushed from a Thursday to a Monday due to OR and scheduling issues. Dr. Dunn stayed late after his shift had ended on Thursday night and performed the operation so that my husband did not have to be laid up in the hospital with an NG tube in his nose for another 3 days. I was so happy that Dr. Dunn would stay late for us after working all day and the Monday plan had already been announced. This Dr. is a good guy. Oh, and he does great work also.
Dr Gary Dunn has saved me once 2018, and did amazing difficult surgery. He has a great surgery team at OU Edmond. He is a teacher. I will once again put my life in Dr Dunn 's skilled hands. I can't thank him enough for caring about . Should you need a gastroenterologist, he's your Dr Thank you
Drove FOUR hours only for this office to tell us they didn't have the records and we would need to reschedule our appointment. It is their job to make sure they are prepared for the patients appointments and that they have all the proper documentation in order to give proper care. Waited a long time to get into see Dr. Dunn. He didn't even act like he cared how far we had to come to be seen. Nor did they do anything to try and accommodate us.
Dr. Dunn and my oncologist saved my life. I was diagnosed with Stage 3 colorectal cancer in 2016. I received the best care and i just love him and his staff. He gets right to business and seems very serious which makes me love seeing his smile so much more... I am so blessed that he was my surgeon.
I have received excellent care, both before, during, and after my surgery. I still have one more surgery to go, but I trust Dr. Dunn implicitly. Having worked with surgeons for over 20 years, my trust is not easily given! Dr. Dunn answers all my questions and gives clear expectations. His support staff at Stephenson Cancer Center are all great! The teaching and research missions make an positive impact on the ultimate quality of care for patients. I’m SO glad I came here from Integris Cancer institute for a second opinion!
Horrible!! He has a terrble bedside manner. Sends his students around instead of seeing his patients. He never explains anything!
I would put a 0 star rating if I could!!! Dunn was very condescending. We paid a huge copay for a 4 minute conversation that could have taken place over the phone. He did not explain thorough and was not receptive to concerns I had. Everything he said about my case was the complete opposite of what my Oncologist has talked with me about. Horrible experience with this doctor and left frustrated and confused!
Dunn over schedules, obvious by his "hurry up" demeanor. He also acts as if he hates his job, again obvious by his demeanor. I see he's got several high rating reviews and chances are this one, not fitting in will be bumped. It most definitely fits in at other sites that review him. Some of those reviews were like reading about my own visit. That's o.k. because I'm making a screenshot of this one. Dunn acts as if each question you address to him is stupid and so he answers with an "isn't it obvious you idiot" tone of voice, even though he was the one asking if I had questions. In short, I would never have surgery done by this man. God help those who hide their heads in the sand regarding this man and God help him.
most aragant doctor I have ever delt with
Dr. Dunn does not have a bedside manner to speak of. Dr. Dunn is very blunt and to the point without offering explanations as to what is going on and what is to be done. Isn't very receptive to questions or the patients concerns about their issues. Only spends about 10 minutes with patients and Dr. Dunn seems to be rushed when is in the room with a patient this long.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
