Dr. Shakir is not only an amazing neurosurgeon who saved my life, he goes above and beyond to connect with his patients and their families. God has indeed blessed him with hands that perform miracles! Thank you Dr. Shakir for all you do!

I don't know where to start. This man will always hold a special place in my heart. Hes so down to earth and never rushed. Excellent bed side manner. He is the best and nothing less. The best doctor I have ever been around and that says alot coming from a nurse of 16 years! He fixed my brain aneurysm that was 6mm by placing a stent and coiling. I was TERRIFIED of being put under and of being the patient but he is so comforting! I did ALOT of research before choosing a neurosurgeon and he is the BEST in Oklahoma! Him and his staff know exactly who you are when u call or come in to his office. They reply very promptly to messages/emails. I could set here all day writing good things. Im impressed and if you know me that speaks volumes in itself ❤️ I completely trust him and that as well speaks volumes coming from me! 💕

Dr. Shakir is one of the best doctors I have ever seen. I took my friend Lisa to a follow-up appt with Dr. Shakir. Lisa has a highly complex case, and no other neurosurgeons would even consider working with her, much less performing brain surgery. Before her surgery, test results showed Lisa had possible cancer on her pancreas, and she threw a blood clot that morning. Dr. Shakir was so kind, and it is evident he cares about his patients. He took his time, explained everything, and hugged both of us as we left the office. I highly recommend Dr. Shakir to anyone with a complicated case who wants a doctor who truly cares for every patient.

Everyone wad courteous after asking me questions what procedure on what aversion Disc they would be on they. for how Disc C7-C7 to dee if ai understand explained potential and to see if ai still wanted to tobwere going to do to me yesterday and explained did the same asked me ever single medical questing to en sure a safe surgery.? They also called Larry to explain the same thing.,.I swears there just he been 36 of them,, alive to the doctor and his composted staff.

When I went to Doctor Shakir, I was in so much pain and could not turn my head. He knew ultimately what needed to be done but wanted to be sure so we went the safe route and his opinion was correct. I had surgery and while it was not a cakewalk, I am able to move my head more than I have been able to in years. I honestly do not know what I would have done without his confidence and belief that he could help. I do still have other issues however my healing has been better than expected and you can barely see a scar. He has been great and so has his staff!

My brother waited so long until he died waiting over two months for you to get a general surgeon to work with you for his surgery! I am in rage to think there is only one general surgeon in Oklahoma City. If he had been your brother I promise you that you would not have taken this long. Your neglect is inexcusable. You should I hope and realize you took a man from his wife, sons, grandchildren, and brother. I hope you rest well with yourself as our hearts and lives are shattered and hearts broken into bits!

Dr Shakir saved my mothers life he did emergency surgery. He was very kind and concerned a very nice man. He was straight forward and I like that. She survived and the next day he video chat with me so I could see my mother that meant a lot. Good bedside manger. I have told family and friends about him.

Update: Right after I posted the below message, Dr. Shakir's office contacted me and explained the cancellations and confusion. Dr. Shakir made an effort to see me the following day. He did medical examinations and referred me to the right type of doctor for further examination. Dr. Shakir and his staff have shown a high level of professionalism and respect for patients, I'm grateful for that. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I called in Aug, 2020 and got an appointment with Dr. Shakir for end of Nov, but one day before the appointment, his stuff called to postpone the appointment to mid-Jan. Then in Dec, they called again and said Dr. Shafir had cancelled the appointment because he's no longer with the facility!! So I have been waiting for 4 months since my accident and still cannot get to see a neurologist. I'm speechless!
