I am 47 yrs old and was recently a patient at Ignite Rehab, and what an experience. I came here due to weakness in my legs caused by an MS relapse; I needed to build up my strength and endurance to walk confidently again. The problem I came into was with my Humana insurance and the office administration staff. When my insurance set my discharge date sooner than expected, I went from being treated like a valued guest to someone that was squatting on their property. Even though I still could not walk independently and function normally living by myself at home, they were calling me a ride to leave their facility. Instead of getting on the phone with my insurance provider and fighting for me, they did just the opposite. I ended up filing an appeal to stop them from making my situation worse. What happened to people caring about others, especially those that can't do it for themselves. One example of what I experienced was when I told one of administrators that if I was sent home I would literally get sick again and have to go back to the hospital. She said, with a smile as she's walking out the door, "Call me", as in, call me after that happens. Overall, I really liked most of the people that worked at this facility. The therapists, nurses, nurses aides, kitchen and housekeeping staff were wonderful; can't say enough nice things about them. As for the office administration staff, they ruined my experience here. After their attempt to kick me out, I didn't want to be there any longer. Even though the insurance situation had been corrected, I still had a bad taste for the place. They chose monetary value over human value. If they will do this to me, a 47yr old, how do they treat the senior citizens under their care. What a scary thought.
NO!!!!! this not a good nursing facility DO NOT send anyone family that you like or love here. They do not keep the family in touch of medical changes. The do not communicate with the different team members. Management will avoid you, not returning phone calls. IT WAS A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!!! I can’t believe they have 4 stars…..I would give them no stars if I could😤😡
Great People and the Starbucks is nice to have there.
I stayed here for over 2 weeks. One nurse was so bad, they moved me to another floor rather than demote him. He refused to give me my dr. Ordered medication. Do yourself and your loved ones a favor and send them anywhere else. This is the worst ranked snf in the state. They have some rely great people but the bad out number the good.
The staff and nursing there are really really helpful they don't take to long to answer your call light and the food is outrageously good the nurses need a raise and so does the kitchen people for the food they cook if I have to go back to a skilled nursing facility it will be that place
I want to recognize 3 wonderful people that work here. These 3 ladies have gone above and beyond to help me through my time here. The 3 ladies are Laura of guest services, Regina a nurse and Carol a nurse aid. I appreciate these wonderful ladies so very much. Thank you very much!!
Awesome staff very helpful and courteous
Of all the various rehab facilities I have been to, I think the Ignite Rehab OKC is the best in the central Oklahoma region. The wound care team and all the therapists are of the highest caliber. Overall the food is very good and the service is excellent. I was fortunate to be transferred here after two weeks at Baptist Integris Hospital.
My husband has been a patient at ignite twice. Both times he was taken care of by kind and passionate staff. He was there the last time for quite a while. It was wonderful to know that he would be taken care of. He received lots of attention and even made friends. They worked hard to convince our insurance that he needed more time and he really needed more time. I would wholeheartedly recommend them.
I believe that people should know when they’re doing a great job, and the care I’ve received from EVERYONE here at Ignite has been ahmazing!!!!!!! From “just checking on you” during the night to being “tucked in” with an extra blanket I’ve been treated well. A huge thank you to ALL of you. 💞
My mom went to Ignite after a hospital stay for skilled nursing and the staff was great. Everyone there was easy to work with and attentive to my mom’s care needs.
Charles always checked in on my at night to make sure I was doing ok. He’s a great guy
Gracias,
I was at Ignited OKC for 10 weeks. They spoiled me rotten . Brandi from PT was amazing and really helped me overcome many fears. Shawnee one of the head RNs is fantastic at her job. Mindy made me feel welcome and helped in more ways then I can count! All of the staff were very carring and helped in any way they could. I would highly recommend Ignite if you are looking for a fantastic Rehab facility.
I was worried about my father being at a SNF but Ignite was a nice facility with great staff; they did a good job with his medical needs and also getting him up and walking again quickly!
This is the best place to have therapy. I have been to many rehabs with my families the staff almost always has a smile on everyone's face and I wouldn't even mind working here if it ment seeing their smiles everyday! If I ever needed rehab this is were I would go. Even better than Jim thorp! I love ignite
Mariah ls great she really makes my back feel better
When told I needed to go to a skilled nursing facility before I would be released from the hospital, I immediately requested that they send me to Ignite Medical Resort. I had been there the year before and I knew that I would be in good hands. From day one the therapists worked with me and I got so I looked forward to my daily therapy sessions. The therapists knew the areas needed to help me regain my strength and my ability to function at home on my own. Am planning to return for outpatient therapy where I need additional help. Ignite has the best employees, from administrative staff, housekeeping, dietary, nursing staff and therapists. Cannot not recommend this place enough. If I ever need skilled nursing then I would insist on going to Ignite Medical Resort.
This place and it's staff are top notch. They really go out of their way to take good care of you. This is a special place.
Do not send your family there. The food is awful. My dad was loosing weight and eating crackers at there drink station by the nurses desk. I had to bring him food and then he started gaining some weight back. They will keep there patients until the insurance is done. Then they will not take the patient back to memory care facility. You have to arrange transportation. They don't tell you that until the day before they are scheduled to be discharged. That way if you can't find transportation they bill you another night. They also have no parking for visitors. The employees park in the front and visitors have to park in back and walk all the way around the building. They have 4 handicap parking places. Two in the front and Two in the back. The beds are so old I think they are army surplus.
