James Andrew Wendelken's Online Review Report Card

The Dr is nice, and he did a excellent job. Reason for the 1 star, I have been told 5 different things when it comes for billing. I have 2 dental policies, after the consult visit the quoted me one price. Two days later I recieved a phone call and they told me a different price then they called again and said the anesthesiologist would only except cash or cashiers check for 1200.00. They called and said that they changed their policy about write offs and that they will no longer do write offs and I would be billed for that amout as well. They suggested I apply for care credit recieved the credit line and they took all that information. Day of surgery they collected the cash for the anesthesiologist. I had the surgery. I recieved a bill today, stating they had billed me for another 5000.00 and for the 1200.00 I already paid. They also didn't bill my 2nd insurance. They only sent 5000 to care credit. I should have changed doctors after the 2nd or 3rd change in the price. I will be getting an itemized statement and send in to both my insurance and go from there. Unless this staff get educated about insurance I would recommend going to someone else.

I scheduled an appointment to treat trigeminal neuralgia concerning my gums, referred by my dentist. I made it very clear to the girl scheduling the appointment that, that is the reason I called. An expensive x-ray not covered by my insurance is taken and i'm told that trigeminal neuralgia is not treated there. Stated I should see a neurologist. I called to get a referral faxed to a neurologist at 8am by 3pm still hasn't been faxed over.

I had an painful access in a tooth that required oral surgery. My experience with Dr Wendelken and his staff was just awesome. He told me up front the day of surgery they would be short staffed and may have some wait. The wait was not long and his wonderful nurse and assistant stayed with me the whole time and we had nice visit which made the wait not nearly as long. The surgery went terrific and I felt 100% better after. Thanks Dr Wendelken and Nicole.

I had an infected wisdom tooth removed. After 5 weeks the area became infected worse and during the 5 week period my pain was extremely bad. Drew saw me at least twice and each time said everything was fine and left me with "....you're 48 yrs old, it takes time, hang in there", very demoralizing to say the least. I finally couldn't take it anymore so I went to the ER. They ran a CT scan and discovered my jaw was broken in 2 places along with lots of debris left from the extraction. Of course I have gone to a new oral surgeon that is giving me proper care.
