James Furr's Online Review Report Card

Honestly if i could give zero stars, i would. My partner has been having some pain for months and after over a month of waiting to see Dr. Furr, we both were extremely disappointed in the service that was received. First off, Dr. Furr did not look over the paperwork my partner filled out in the mail one time while we were in the room. He did not ask about any symptoms. He did not acknowledge me in the room at all. I asked him out right, “ Are you sure there is not hernia” He proceeded to say that after looking at the previous specialists notes, he didn’t know for sure. His only advice was to take a daily alieve tablet. Like my partner has been doing that for months that’s why we are here. He then proceeded to not even check us out, schedule a follow up, he didn’t order ANY labs, did not order a urine test, NOTHING. We went to get a 2nd opinion the NEXT DAY! I love ou medical center but this experience with James Furr has been the absolute worst. If you are in pain, GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. This man will medically gas light you. Please go see someone else.

This doctor will medically gas light you. He does not read paperwork, he does not ask questions, he does not listen. I had a awful experience while seeing him with my boyfriend. We had waited over a month to see him because of this terrible pain and he did not even order any labs or tests. He suggested icing the area and taking aspirin. SMH. We went to a new dr the next day who had a diagnosis.

Dr. Furr and his entire staff are very friendly and took their time reviewing my issues and discussed the options of treatment moving forward.

Staff is unwilling to listen. Dr. Furr and his staff, including the office manager treat patients with blatant hostility. I was accused of playing a game by the office manager for simply explaining that I feel the treatment plan is not right, and after I explained I am just voicing my concerns she proceed to yell through the phone that people on my end of the phone call could hear the details of the conversation without my phone having to be on speaker. Treatment plan is inadequate to say the least. I have already completed physical therapy, and have been seen by the Mayo Clinic for Urological reasons. Instead of addressing the actual issue they keep delaying any form of treatment just so they can continue to collect a copay and then proceed to bill insurance, all while I am left to sit untreated. Unethical. Money Hungry. Rude. Not to mention the Dr. Furr appears to be very young and inexperienced, and I say this based off of his own comments.

VERY FRIENDLY, PROFESSIONAL AND ANSWERED ALL MY QUESTIONS AND CONCERNS. HAVE CHANGED MY MIND AFTER READING HIS LITERATURE HE GAVE ME. I WILL LET HIME KNOW AT NEXT VISIT THAT I WANT TO HAVE SURGERY.

This young man is personablel and competent to the max. He explains everything very well and his staff is top-notch, too.
