List of Jason M Hirshburg's Reviews
I like him. But for some reason, I ended up with Dr. McBride there, and I do not care for him at all. The only thing McBride is good at is medical gaslighting. Dr. Hirshburg doesn't do that. One would certainly think that when you are seeing a dermatologist regularly, they'd do a check of your entire body. I have many moles, and have a few I question, but unless I bring it up, none of them ever check them. I get big blackheads behind my ears and wish he would get them out, but again, nothing is ever done. I have an extremely painful disease that is destroying my legs but can't get Hirshburg or any of my specialists to help with that.
My son was seen by this doctor. He basically brushed off all our concerns. We went to someone else and we had so much better experience.
Dr. Hirshburg is amazing. Always meets my care needs and takes the time to answer any questions I have.
I started seeing Dr. Hirshburg within the last year. After 4 or so appointments with him lasting only around 15 minutes, it's hard to say for me yet just how good he is. He seems to be a nice guy. What frustrates me the most? Having to deal with the entire medical system out at O.U. It's a nightmare. I have many diseases, the one he and my Vascular specialist at O.U. are both treating affects my lower legs and skin. All I'm given is ONE prescription for some cream I apply to my legs twice a day. Should it take 3 or more days to stick a hunk of paper into a FAX machine and zap it back to the pharmacy to get if refilled. Most definitely not. Several years ago I was stuck in the "system" at O.U. for 8 years. You can't even begin to imagine what a patient goes through with anyone out there. It should not be that way. This is something I'll be taking up with him on my next appointment. Even though there are several "procedures" that can be tried to reverse/stop what is going on, neither he nor my Vascular doctor have ever discussed these options with me.
Had no compassion, My daughter has dealt with severe eczema all her life and it has only gotten worse as she has gotten older. It is now affecting her face. She cries in pain it is so bad. I told him we had been through all the ointments and creams, baths, lotions, special products but he basically blew us off and prescribed what she has already used. He also told us to use hydrocortisone on her face which can do major damage to your skin that is not repairable. Don't bother with this Dr! He doesn't want to be bothered by you.
Dr.Hirshburg is the only dermatologist that I have found that I like going to! He tells you your options and doesn't pressure you. Great bedside manner, very laid back.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
