List of Joysree Subramanian's Reviews
Awful. Staff is horrible as well.
If you don't mind 1. Being belittled because you take natural supplements, 2. Listening to her trash-talk other doctors you've had, 3. Being yelled at (in front of staff and potentially in the hearing of other patients) because you chose to have a procedure done by a more experienced doctor...which appears to be tied to, 4. Being treated by someone that demonstrates a greed-based practice... Then Doctor Subramanian is a decent pain doctor. She's fairly good at what she does but lacks ethics (speaking bad about another doctor is a violation of the Ethics Code) and doesn't seem to care if she's hurtful in what she says. "Why don't you just eat carrots? Why don't you just eat fish?" (The two questions she asked me when I told her I take, Beta Carotene and Omega 3 fish oil) then she finished with, "Well, I guess you just like taking a lot of pills". Yes, that is what she actually said to me. This is my experience and is fully accurate, to the best of my recollection. I wish her no harm, I just want to warn other potential patients in need of pain management.
This doctor is rude and basically called me a liar I traveled over an hour for this kind of treatment..never ever will go back to her ...don’t waste your time on this doctor
Went in for a surgical consult with a bunch of paperwork in hand. After filling out enough forms to kill multiple trees, which took over an hour, I had to take a drug test - for no reason as this had nothing to do with my appointment Spent months gathering 9 years of reports and imaging and letters for her and the entire office staff quit. Called almost daily for months trying to get in but I can't get a follow-up appointment and even corporate in San Antonio just leaves unanswered messages.
We began to make a plan, but there has not been another appt so I wouldn't know how it would have turned out. It took 4 online requests for an appt, each immediately cancelled, saying I needed a referral-- I have PPO. Got in, was told they would contact my prior doc to get scans sent over. 1 month later, I called them back, and not only had they not bothered to call the prior doc, but told me I needed to get the scan for them. They billed my insurance $3,100, though, and I *get* to pay $340.
Dr Subramanian does not prescribe pain medicine unless you are dying that day. Your better off going to the ER, lol. FYI she's sold her equipment and downsized offices. Preparing for retirement back to India.
hard to know when to call for appointments, and front office receptionist does not call back or follow through on referrals for various needs with insurance plan, she doesn't bother to speak with patients when they sign in or ask about information needed to ensure paperwork is relevant for insurance documentation and communication
She is a horrible doctor. The staff is rude and unprofessional. Don't go to her at all.
Great Dr Very caring and compassionate. Straight forward. No BS .. Cares but is direct and definitive in what needs to be done
This Dr basically said I was not telling the truth. Actually asked my age (I look very young) as if I wasn't old enough to have the symptoms or to tell the truth. I refuse to waste my time travelling over an hour to this Doctor and be treated as if I am just a baby.

Selection Criteria
All the information you see here is based on our analysis of internet reviews across the seven major review platforms most used by consumers during their healthcare provider selection. The platforms we selected are Google, WebMD, Yelp, HealthGrades, Facebook, RateMDs, and Vitals. The analysis algorithm uses the compiled data of average score, recency of reviews, number of reviews, and the sentiment expressed in the written comments. It then assigns weight to each parameter based on the available research on how consumers use reviews in their doctor selection process. This report is designed to help identify the doctors with the best overall review score in an area and does not reflect the doctors' competence.
