Dr McBride saved my life literally! I have severe Crohn’s and he took my case very seriously from Day 1. He listens carefully, goes out of his way to get you into early appointments, and is incredibly knowledgeable.

If you like being battered when you’re ill, he’s your guy! I felt as if he was degrading and rude because I was ill. He acted as if he knew me and wanted to blame me for my illnesses. Being 27 years post liver transplant, I wanted to yell back at him “would I actually be 27 years post transplant if I refused to take care of myself”? Run don’t walk to find someone a little more caring!

I had a colonoscopy & an upper endoscopy done on the same day. I was terrified due to never having a procedure like that, or having anesthesia before, but Dr McBride (whom I had just met the week prior) came into the pre-procedure area & spoke to me & my husband. He immediately put me at ease with some humor & made it less scary all around. I also have to note that all of his nurses are fantastic & so so caring. I’m glad I had both procedures under the care of a great team. When I awoke, I could not even tell I had had either one. I heard that sometimes your throat will hurt after an upper endoscopy but mine didn’t hurt at all! I even got nice pictures of my entire intestinal area, lol. Because I was “out” the Dr gave the results & pics to my husband, so I didn’t get to speak to him after the procedures, but that’s ok. The procedures were a success & I’m greatful for the expertise of the entire team.

I have been a patient for about two years and I can't say I did enjoy some of my experience the nursing staff was Great but I must agree the doctor Lacks compassion and bedside manners every session was extremely quick. So when my curiosity kicked in and I stopped taking the injections due to all of the side effects I was let go as a patient through certified mail which was extremely hurtful because I have Crohn's disease I felt that it was extremely unethical as a doctor and patients relationship it's no need to cry over spilled milk because where there's a will there's a way and thank God for a great GI doctor in Norman Oklahoma.! Please take heed and read the reviews before you contact him as a doctor.(every doctor and patients relationship should have some type of compassion and make you feel safe) GOODBYE Matthew A.McBride you will not be missed!

Dr Mcbride I've been seening for some years through several colonoscopies and two endoscopies - He is personable, thorough, and doesn't beat around the bush if a procedure or test might not be in your best interest. I had my records with him forwarded to Integris when he left Deaconess. He's my choice if I need a gastro guy.

Dr. McBride noticed how frustrated I was becoming bc of the lack of my primary not sending my paperwork. I was getting different diagnosis and I wasn't getting any answers. Dr. McBride calmed me down by telling me I would be ok and he and his team will figure it all out. As for the staff, so far so good. As for for his nurse, she called me to let me know that I need to get labs done. I told her I would go in on Friday or early Monday. She very rudely said she doesn't like to send the paperwork to DLO just to let it sit for 3 days. I told again that I would be there Friday evening Monday morning. I arrived to DLO Monday morning and they still hadn't received any paperwork. I called McBride's office to find out what was going on. The nurse never sent it to DLO. I find it funny she was rushing me to get it done and she didn't do her part.
