Dr Michael Cookson was my urologist/ surgeon 10 years ago at Vanderbilt. Dr Cookson was a wonderful Dr/ surgeon . He performed a nephrotomy of my left kidney in Dec 2011. I am a 10 year survivor of renal cell carcinoma with no reoccurrences.. I am thankful that Dr. Cookson was my doctor during this period in my life as I feel like he was and still is the best. Thank you for taking such great care of me .. Penny Hurd

Very thorough in his initial consultation, spent adequate time to explain things to me, is an expert in the field and it shows. Clinic is very clean and professional, communication with patient excellent. Highly recommend

i put 3 for knowledge since i don't really know, he always speaks about his personal life never about my illness. 7 appointments with him now and i'm so over that wrong decision. last time i've been there i waited for almost an hour to be seen by him. i drove for 2 hours for some appointments at vanderbilt and i was pulled over for speeding, so i was late for my appts, all the doctors were nice and saw me, but he didn't coz i was late for more half an hour and his nurse told me that i need to have another appt and drive back and forth for 2:30 hours!!

Very nice Dr , If it wasnt for him my dad wouldnt bbr here to day . You blessed my family so much . My dad suffered a lot of injuries and mental effects from a wreck to a mother dying and finding out he had cancer in one Day remind you no insurance was a holding him back My dad had just had in his mind that he was going to die , untill he meet you today he still crys and stands proud for you and your pratice , thank you
